Ok i swored i out up a post about tombstones but it doesnt seem to be here but i found the answer ne way. Ok Why do pain killers make you itch?

I would guess it has something to do with the fact that narcotics stimulate dopamine receptors. High concentrations of dopamine will make you itch.

Opiates cause the body to release histamines, histamines make you itch. You can remedy this problem by taking an anti-histamine such as benadryl.

As for why opiates makes you itch - just like luckE said, so take some Benadryl and you will be fine!

i have been taking OPIATES for awhile now(few years) and have noticed i don't get the ITCHES during the day any more, but when im sleeping, i ITCH LIKE CRAZY!!!im not sure why, but i ITCH all night long every fucking night...especially the legs, they ITCH like mad...
well, then again(no matter the time of day) if i take a large dose, my NOSE does itch pretty bad..

I have taken ~28g GHB in ~500 days. I have also recently tried codiene. I was thinking that the two are quite similar, although codiene reminds me of morphine but I never thought this with G. I took ~100mg's codiene yesterday and in reterospect today it was definately *similar* to GHB in effect.
