I go to a pain clinic for chronic low back pain where they prescribe me Oxycontin, Ive been going for over a year and all of the sudden they decided to give me a UA. They asked me when the last time I took my oxy was to which I replied today and then told me to piss. My question is were they looking for the oxy in my system to make sure I was actually taking it instead of selling it or what exactly were they looking for? I'm just wondering why after over a year with no similar incidents why all of the sudden did I have to piss?

They were probably checking to see if you've been taking a little somethin somethin on the side...why all of a sudden? My only guess is that you've been acting differently and they suspect something's up

After a year you might become tolerant, dependant, try other painkillers, maybe develope an H habit. Or, you're not taking them and making a killing selling oxys. Either way, they're covering their asses.

Every clinic is different, there's no way of knowing your particular clinic's policies.

We don't do drug testing questions here anyway.
