PA, Philly - 10.08.04 - 10.10.04 - Whistle 4 @ Shampoo *REVIEW*

hhc is the only reason why i was considering this party :D however, i dont think luke is too keen on going.
 
PKat you better friggen go to this party... You have been one of the very first BL'ewrs I met..... Being the party is in Philly and I haave PARENTS who livew in philly and have already requested off from work the 8th, 9th, and 10th...... I don't care if you have been traveling from Cali, or the dominican rebublic.... or CT..... just think you DO have a place to crash after the party(Again not a party loccation but at least a place to go to sleep and catch a few zzzzzzzzz's bnefore you hit the road again... and if you havent known me from this board in almost 4 YEARS to talk shiot thenlemme know... Whistle 4 baby... the end of the begining baby..............

shampoo is FREAKIN small, and there are gonna be a sh!tload of people at this thing.

hope i have room to dance for you all =D if you have not witnessed such a thing before, my amateur dance crew is bringin the glow gear and we shall bust out all the skills philly has never seen before (no battles tho!! battles = lameness). probably be chillin in the main room and outside tent most of the time. see everyone there!!

no, no, no.......battling is the essense of enjoying someone's style and showcasing your own. (in my opinion =D )
Well anyway I will be there, got some NY friends meeting up there and we love making circles and checking each-other new styles out. I mean its undescribable when you get that feeling of the music flowing in ya that gets you "feeling wild" that you got to jump into a circle of people & friends watching and let loose, allot of sick dance steps get created that way.
I personally love dance circles and especially partisipating in them. Its crazy how whenever I'm dancing simply by myself somehow a circle forms around me. =D Anyway can't wait for this party, I'm there.
 
well luke wants to spend the weekend romancing his car instead of going to this. so unless i take the train down, i wont be there :\ ill think about it though.
 
any1 from ohio or ky going 2 this... who wouldnt mind giving a ride?

a free hotel room will compensate the ride up...

I agree. LOCAL 13 is the ONLY reason Philly even had a rave scene.
Most productions that are from Philly are super shady.
Plus, there isn't a single venue in philly that is worth going to besides ShampoO.

WORD OF ADVICE: If you want to avoid having a shitty time, I suggest that you stay away from the pre-party and after party!
Several after party venue's in Philly are closet sized with terrible sound systems.

I also agree with shittyness at the pre-after party BUT Transit isnt small by all means(closet sized) I think it's bigger than shampoo even....

I am going to try to go to the pre-party on friday night... It''s only 5 bucks to get in and if I don't like it I can allways leave and go somehwere else.. hell I have vip and comp cards for almost every night club in Center city philly so if one sucks I'll just go to another.... Would really like to try to go to the after party but I don't think I can last that long since I will only be drinking the night of the main party(no more party candy for this kid)



Meetups are cool... I think FrostyAngel has decided she IS going to go so check the picture page and look for our pics so you can figure out what we look like.... like I said I will most likley be up at the over 21 upstairs loft bar BUT since I will have a friend who is under 21 we will most likley hang out in the red chillout room which is on the main floor(not to be confused with the dowstairs red room) This is just a small cubicle right next to the upstairs loft...

I still come back to DC sometimes though :D I haven't been since my birthday in June though :\ It's kinda hard because I work weekends. But I'm coming down to DC on 11/5 for Bad Boy Bill :D Maybe I'll see you then ;)

I can think of a few venues worth going to in philly that arent closet sized and arent shampoo, like transit and emerald city. Plus there are plenty of non-shady production groups in philly... but the shadiness factor may come into play the bigger the event that is being thrown. But overall, there really arent many big events in philly anymore.
 
Bad Boy Bill?!?!? I havent been to check out the upcoming parties lately and Its been forever since I been back on here. I will definitly look into it. sure is a shorter drive. And I havent been back to DC since rabbit in the moon. :)
