PA, Philly - 10.08.04 - 10.10.04 - Whistle 4 @ Shampoo *REVIEW*

WTF!!!!! Argghhh Just recieved a wedding inviation for my cousins wedding and its on the same friggen day!(The 9th)

I will talk to my parents and see if I can just go to the wedding and not the reception though... Will keep you posted :(
 
So does anyone think that the club will have enough space for all the people that are showing up? Because I think a big group of people (30-40+) from KC are planning on going, but I'd hate to drive 12+ hours and not be able to get in, or have any space to dance.
 
eh, every bigger event says it will sell out... i wonder the percentage of those that actually do
 
I've never seen a big event sell out.

Although I have seen venues hit capacity for the fire code, and ticket holders being left out in the cold for hours upon hours.

That's what I'm talking about. Not so much, getting a ticket, it's the fact that I've seen alot of places over sell their fire code and people get stuck outside.
 
Well as small as shampoo can be I have been there when they have thrown some huge parties even turning part of the parking lot into an open area complete with tents and all... I would assume they are going to do the same for this party making the venue much bigger than most people think... also the Groove Garden should still be open since its still kindof warm in the begining of October. The groove garden is usually closed during the winter but again with the popularity of the Whistle parties I think both the groove garden and outside tents should be big enough..... I also do remember going to a party there with Amaryllis and they even opened up the basement area(the place they store shit and the public doesnt see) they threw some porta-johns in there and it was almost like a seperate club... Again the possibility for more space.....

omg that happened to me New Years Eve going into I guess 2002. Most horrible experience cause it was so fucking crowded I couldn't even breathe and I ended up almost having my first anxiety attack that night :\
 
Apperently the tent there putting in the parking lot is huge, so that will definetly help out. But I still think it's going to be packed.
 
eh I may not end up going afterall. But it's still like 5 weeks away and a lot could change. I just think I SHOULD be a lot more excited for this party but I'm really not. Even though two of my favorite DJs are there!!!

I dunno we'll see. I'm not all about wasting $40 on a ticket plus my share of gas $ and tolls 8(

Well I just got back from my little philly visit with my rents and they said I didn't have to go to the wedding at all so I am once again def going to this party... LOL my rents are even going to let me and a few crash after :)... They are in Northeast Philly not center city but it beats driving two hours home to Wilkes-Barre :)

my Cali trip isn't going to work out. At least I'll save up madd loot to finish customizing my new import for the spring ................
 
Well I should be driving to philly some time next week to pick up some tickets at 611...... It's going to be me plus a few headz from up where I live now..... I already requested off the 8th, 9th, and 10th. Would like to get into Philly around 5 or 6ish possibly hitting up Jillians before going possibly to the pre-party. Def doing the main party and if I have enough energy we will see about the after-party...

Also FrostyAngel *might* be able to make it down for the main party /me keeps fingers crossed that she can go :) Now it's time to work on paying off my bills this month so I will have $$ for tickets :)

oh im definatly drivin for this one!! got tickets and a room and everyones got me all excited :) Never partied in Phily before.
