btw, the price might be wrong, the local 13 site says $25 in advance $30 at the door, but they haven’t put the full info on there yet
 
The lineup intrigues me.

The name Whistle intrigues me, as I know in the day they were GREAT parties (according to my roommate)

But I have heard, that Shampoo is a venue that can't possibly handle the crowd this party SHOULD bring out. So.... eh :\

But seeing Feelgood and DJ Irene and ONLY having to drive like 2 hours to a party (as opposed to the 4.5 or so I drive to DC) makes me think I want to go.

Well, I've got 2 months to decide ;)

And, if I might add, the date in the title reading 10.08 -- 10.10 is confusing because at first I thought this was a 3 day party and I was like WTF!! But if it's a preparty then an afterparty... it should be listed here, yes, but like I said, the date in the title that way is a bit confusing. To me anyway ;)
 
im glad anabolic is outside, i dont want to be "steppin" on kids that think they look better laying on the ground soaking up rave juice.

correct shampoo is a very small club its actualy a very odd club with a hottub in an outside area that doesnt realy seem outside

however the outside tent that they have where anabolic frolic is performing will take up a large portion of the parkinglot.

hopefuly this brings in a larger crowd then bang, however i did not venture far from the dnb room so i did not get to see how many people were there exactly

^ Yeah, my roommate is from Philly and he's been to Shampoo many times, so he was telling me about it. I dunno... if October comes and I'm in a partying mood and there's nothing worth going down to DC for that month... then... maaaaaaaaybe.

Sadly, no. If I was still living in MD I would DEFINITELY be there for the DC Skillz party at the Tunnel. But, from where I live in PA it would take like 4.5 hours to drive to DC. I still go to DC on a somewhat regular basis (like once every 4-8 weeks totally depending on several factors) but I just went last weekend for Starscape so... it may be awhile before I go back.

Plus I work weekends so..... heh :\
 
I'm in line with a number of other people who would love to go to a Whistle party...think the lineup is good...but question the choice of Shampoo as a venue.

To others who have gone to Shampoo...is it worth it to try to pack in this venue even with a lineup like this?
 
shampoo fucking blows

in fact 85% of clubs in philly suck, alot

id only go cuz i havent heard hardcore in forever, even if it has to be Rob Gee. Anabolic Frolic would prolly be cool.

however 40$ is rediculous. shampoo sucks, and the price is insane, i cant believe anyone would go to this. I really dont think any kind of event housed in a club is worth more than 20$, the lack of dancing space alone ruins the night.

^^ hmm well if it IS in fact only $25 then I may consider going. And if I consider going then I will TRY my best to convince THE WOOD to go with me :p since the last time we went to a club in Philly we couldn't get in so we had to wander the streets at like 1am and I missed seeing one of my FAVORITE djs. So this would be a good chance to make it up to me ;) you don't really owe me anything... i wasn't really pissed we couldn't get in. wasn't really your fault and all

I suck at convincing people to do stuff though lol

But I will try!! :D

i guess i would still consider going the lineup is pretty sick. but yea the club is kinda small however i was only in the dnb area at bang
