J. Smooth of GFS fame is credited for first combining jungle beats with hip hop samples and his infamous mix tapes and enthusiastic sets featuring this style propelled him into the international DJ circuit, regularly playing nationwide and overseas.
Andy Sine and Icon alongside Illy MC regularly warmed the dance floor for international guest DJ’s during Dieselboy’s legendary Platinum night’s run at Philly’s Fluid Nightclub, as all three featured as weekly residents, giving them the tunes and skills to rock any party, anytime.
Art Cuebik and Joey Breakdown are both experienced Philly selectors, playing at clubs as far back as 1994 and both creating and running the monthly Tronik Sessions “soulful” drum n bass parties from 2002-2005 at the unlikely Saint Jacks’, giving Philly jungle geeks somewhere to let their soft side show.
Jason Magin was also one of Tronik Sessions original residents, a champion of classic jungle tunes with a huge collection he built while a long time employee of the now defunct 611 Records, and still lets his jungle flag fly with his weekly Fuzed Funk internet show.
This is a night many won’t soon forget. All original Philly line-up, all vinyl, classics only. Beefed up sound and lights, in a newly renovated venue with special surprises all night. Get there early for drunk specials and to ensure you won’t be waiting in the cold as this event will surely reach capacity.
