at least I'm not flying other countries' planes into thier own buildings...

A verbal political standoff is not something I soon intend to partake in, so if that's your premise I suggest you kindly take your arguments elsewhere; like I said, it was a harmless joke until your assumptions ballooned it into some sort of postulate racist remark intended to express a redneck-esque, programmed type of cornered rage. I'm a non-judgmental spiritual thinker. That being said, had I not...
(a) known of your DJ presence since 94-ish
(b) have harbored nothing but respect for you and your talent ever since
(c) held in great regard your prior affiliations with Ed and the rest of the Table of Elements and
(d) had many Arab-American friends, some of which are reading this right now and happen to agree with me on the particular matter...
....then I may be a bit perturbed with your pre-determined outlook of my intentions at this juncture. Let I get this straight....thousands of innocent people perished one tuesday afternoon in our country. It has since been proven that the assailants were members of a terrorist group, based in the middle east; aimed at the destruction of America and its thought processes (however tainted they may be) as we know it. OK; aside from the fact that Mr. Bush has portrayed the role of the antichrist in emmy award-winning fashion since this travisty has occurred (not to mention masterminding Vietnam Pt. 2), these radicals still operate (very freely I might add) today at a higher constituency than ever before, incorporating the glorification of martyrdom (in an eerily similar kamikaze fashion perfected during WWII) and complacent soul sacrifice to carry out this "holy war" as they have so proudly and vehemently dubbed it; specifically against our country and its ideals as a whole.
Freely speaking, I hold in the highest regard my right to pursue my choice of religion, assembly, motivation, and thought process (a freedom that is still unheard of in most of the rest of the world) in this new era of "world politics" shit, as well as duly respecting others opinions as, at the very least, noteworthy. Yeah, pride is a motherfuck, and yeah, Bush sucks (I'm voting for Kerry, BTW; but that's not what's important here). The fact of the matter is that we are conducting a sort of remembrance ceremony here; and, unless I'm mistaken, a portion of the proceeds from this event will be given to certain pre-determined families of the victims of the fateful day. So, my advice is this: either realize that the simple pleasures that we take for granted on a daily basis isn't a guaranteed luxury anymore; or rest on your laurels, as this great country of ours has done since Daddy Bush was in office, and over-examine our current beliefs and wrong-doings from the comfort of your own computer desk. I'd rather claim pacifism myself, but I'll be damned if I allow my personal evolution (especially my mental, cognitive, & psychological evolution) to fall back a notch because of some jealous haters a half a world away who are pissed off at us because they can't bring it upon themselves to lighten up (or at least let the women wear something a little more comfortable in 110 degree weather), and accept the fact that its no longer 600 A.D.
Trust me, I've had it with our own country's shallow patriotism too... the "fear" factor (whole other story); the invasive, unconstitutional "security" precautions, and our pomp-&-circumstance political arrangement as much as the next guy...but until we seriously start going to the fucking streets with our amended visions, hopes, dreams, & ideas (which, might I add, was once considered to be a necessary, healthy, positive act in the process of building a peaceful democratic culture such as ours---until the fleecing of America & the martial law clause took effect), you might as well throw all caution to the wind...I'm sure they're still looking for some recruits over at Camp Jihad if you're really that sick of it all...
I still say Fuck Bin Laden
*unimportant side note*
This will probably be my last appearance as a DJ for a while...I've decided to focus my attention on rekindling the spirit of raving long past...a time where everyone, no matter what their position or outlook, was regarded as an important part of humanity and was welcomed with open arms. Production is the key to any event; and I love this shit too much to sit back and watch money-hungry, fame seeking newbie punters ruin the good-natured name of party promoters past and present, all the while successfully turning community into commodity. I'm sure, Miss Shiva, that you can understand at least some of what I am trying to convey here.
Everyone else, I apologize for my long-winded tangent. Can't wait to raise the roof with allaya'll at this party...Props to Subzero & Shannon for staying true to their words and having faith in an otherwise dismal situation...

it's always easy to call it a joke, when you are not the one at the butt end of it. language oppresses, and until you learn that, you are part of the problem.
and it's not a very funny joke either, so do me a favor and don't quit yer day job...
