How do y'all feel about poppers? Anyone have any stories (good, bad, great) related to that sniffy little brain-buster-in-a-bottle?

Hmmm... damn beautiful when you're peaking and have a lil sniff, you don't know what's hit you, the room went fuzzy and bright red, people dancing in frames, wikid experience only - it's not too good for ya ;/
I sniffed too much in a night and ended up with a splitting headache for about 3 hours.

It gets old REAL FAST ... you can buy a bottle, sniff it, get the rush, your face gets hot - but after 2 or 3 goes it's just lame...

Poppers, AKA Amyl Nitrate or Butyl Nitrate is sold as VCR head cleaner at head shops. Read up at www.erowid.org under inhalants.

I think Phreex hit the nail on the head. Brilliant in very small doses but shit when you start caining. They're best in a club when you're rolling good and hard. About 3 big sniffs during the course of the night during the best parts of your roll are amazing. If you do them too much however they will do nothing but give you a blinding headache.
A great thing though is that used sparingly, a whole bottle will last you months providing you don't give any to that cainer in the club who always manages to sniff them out(not diffiult granted) and hassles you all night as he keeps coming back for more and more, practically drinking the stuff by the end!
Not sure of their legality in the US but here in the UK they're legal and are sold in joke or sex shops for about £5 a bottle on average. They are sold as "room odourisers" but funnily enough I don't see many people putting a bottle by the DJ box in the aim of odourising the club!!!
Pretty much all the poppers sold in the UK now are Butyl Nitrate(?) as opposed to amyl nitrate.

I think poppers really suck! I get a freakin' headache after using them, the feeling my head's gonna explode and the effect isn't worth it at all! I do like N2O for rushin'!
