Hello Bluelight!
I've lurked around here for a couple of days, and I've finally decided to register. I'm a high-school senior from Little Bumfuck, Ohio with a strong interest in chemistry and neuropharmacology. I know a bit about the more common recreational drugs: their effects, main mechanisms of action, some synthesis basics, etc. Compared to my peers, that's a lot, but nothing compared to what I'm finding here. I've been around a couple of drug-related forums--homedistiller, 420magazine, and the Shroomery--and I think that my knowledge might grow quite a bit more on Bluelight. ( The Erowid/BlueLight Neuropharmacology Text hooked me. Nothing I've seen looks so coherent and structured when it comes to understanding drugs.) I'm a strong advocate for legalization and harm reduction. Do you really think I'd come here otherwise?
I do not consider myself a druggie--my experiences with psychoactives amount to a couple of buzzes on alcohol, daily caffeine for migraines, and one experience with weed (which my parents caught me for, threatened disownment, and continue to rag on me about. Stupid paranoid conservative parents.
) Psychedelics, though, look to be a bit enticing, especially DMT, shrooms, and maybe MDMA.
I'm an introvert, and I only speak/write when I know I have something to say. I've been told that my sense of humor is dry enough to make saltines look soggy. I've lived on a farm all my life, and the combination of work and distance kinda separated me from my friends, so I don't get along so well when it comes to socializing. Not that that matters, though.
So, I hope that y'all get to know about me, me get to know about y'all, and all of us get to know more about drugs!
