Anyone have any experiance with this stuff. From the looks of it the only way you could effectivly administer it is injection and I don't do that...

Have you guys had any luck with insufflating it or something. This stuff almost looks promising8)

isnt oxytocin a hormone that is release during pregnancy and labor? i cant see this being a recreational drug... is there any reports about this chemical that would point in that direction?

yes supposedly it's released when you take x

It also supposed to be the chemical released when you're in love so if I found a way to take this stuff I could walk around high on love all day without even finding the right women

heres someone with a similar idea

I can tell you that oxytocin is what the hospital gave my wife via IV last month to enhance her contractions during labor. It is used to induce labor! AND it can make a womens uterus contract, even if she is not pregnant.

No I didn't think Oxycontin. Also I'm not actually expecting this to be a real high. If I was able to get any kind of empathetic feeling at all I would consider it a success. There is just a lot of buzz and no info on this stuff so I was wondering if you guys knew anything.

It's known as the "love chemical". Studies with rats show that when rat mothers don't have it, they neglect or kill their kids (or something like that). IIRC, it also makes them be aggressive whenever another rat is in their cage.

In humans...it's associated with feelings of love, and ecstasy is probably the best-known drug that increases its release in the brain.

Edit: Maybe this belongs in the ADD idk? I basically just want a retrospective summery and you're experiences with it that I can't find anywhere else

Ive never heard of oxytocin being used recreationally.
Like melatonin, i doubt it would have significant recreational value. Not to mention I have no idea where you could get it on the street.

ADD is for advanced discussion of drugs, not really a place for people to gather with experimentation experience.

And, CheapHighMan, if people don't have experience with it because it seems to only be used in medical settings in terms of an actual substance put into the body and not only a hormonal release, then there might be a reason you can't find a summary and experiences. People who don't have these things can't exactly give you the information you want --- and someone, somewhere, if they are a BL member, has been high on just about everything.

Not recreational, is a hormone, sometimes called the love hormone, most famous for being released in large amounts after a mother gives birth, helps the mother have unconditional love for the baby as soon as it is born. A lot of cases of post natal depression are due to a lack of oxytocin being released during labor.

I don't really think there is much more to be discussed on the matter.

Will leave this open for a while, incase anyone has any more informaton on the subject, but there is really no recreational value or any value at all in self medicating with oxytocin.

Kk

I know I said I was but I'm not really looking to get high on it I just wanted to see if it had any effect at all.

Anyway I got what I need you can close it if you want

I wasn't trying to have a go or anything, was just stating the facts. I thought about it in the past as something that might possible might have some effects. After researching though it is definitely a dead end.

There is an Erowid Oxytocin Vault, although it has no experience reports, so that just further proves that there is nothing more to it than it being a hormone.

Will close this up now
