I have read that when it is used as a nasal spray it can increase your Emotional Quotient... which is useful if you're borderline, psychopathic, autistic, or extremely narcissitic. It's also useful for mothers who are failing to form a bond with their children properly. It is however not a drug with any recreational merit.

Okay guys a lot of talk very little info. I have did my research before posting I ended up with very limited selection of articles. Since I don't have access to electronic resources like anyone who goes to college does its hard to find studies. Since to my best knowledge I am not a female
and don't plan on breastfeeding anyone yet either. That effect of the drug should not apply to me.

Abstract
The responses of serum oxytocin (OT) and vasopressin (AVP) to the serotonergic HT1A agonist buspirone (15 mg p.o.) or the HTD1 agonist sumatriptan (6 mg injected subcutaneously) were evaluated in 7 normal men either in basal conditions or during an insulin (0.15 iu/kg as an i.v. bolus) tolerance test (ITT). Neither buspirone nor sumatriptan administration modified the basal secretion of AVP and OT. Stimulation of 5HT-1D receptors with sumatriptan was unable to change neither AVP nor OT response to insulin-induced hypoglycemia. On the other hand, the pretreatment with the 5HT1A agonist buspirone significantly enhanced the OT response during hypoglycemia, without modifying the AVP rise. The results of this study suggest that serotonergic 5HT1A receptors may interact with hypoglycemia in the stimulation of OT, but not AVP secretion.
I have both insulin on hand and have been taking buspirone. Buspirone is believed to reduce anxiety due to a release of oxytocin.
I also am very much aware of the blood brain barrier dilemma. Nonetheless, this varies from person to person. Oxytocin neurons make other peptides, including corticotropin-releasing hormone (CRH) and dynorphin (opioids)
Oxytocin evokes feelings of contentment, reductions in anxiety, and feelings of calmness and security around the mate.[18] Many studies have already shown a correlation of oxytocin with human bonding, increases in trust, and decreases in fear. One study confirmed that there was a positive correlation between oxytocin plasma levels and an anxiety scale measuring the adult romantic attachment.[19] This suggests that oxytocin may be important for the inhibition of brain regions that are associated with behavioral control, fear, and anxiety, thus allowing orgasm to occur.
Two related studies in adults, in 2003 and 2007, found that oxytocin decreased repetitive behaviors and improved interpretation of emotions. More recently, intranasal administration of oxytocin was found to increase emotion recognition in children as young as 12 who are diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders [25]
Reducing trust of strangers, and increasing cultural and racial bias.[31]
Interestingly, oxytocin does seem to facilitate learning and memory specifically for social information. Healthy males administered intranasal oxytocin show improved memory for human faces, particularly happy faces.[35][36]
MDMA (ecstasy) may increase feelings of love, empathy and connection to others by stimulating oxytocin activity via activation of serotonin 5-HT1A receptors, if initial studies in animals apply to humans.[52] The anxiolytic Buspar (buspirone) also appears to produce some or all of its effect via 5-HT1A receptor-induced oxytocin stimulation.[53][54]
I am thinking of mixing it in saline and injecting it IV i just have to decide on the dose.

Try taking it with a decarboxylase inhibitor if you want to see any of the effects, this is effective with L-Dopa which is a catecholamine in the same class as oxytocin. That plus I would use some sort of MAOI it is a monoamine after all. If you take the above drugs couple with it you would probably get an effect, but there is not telling how much you should take. I would do a search through bluelight searching for l-dopa and carboxylase inhibitors to know where you would start with this one. The only way oral l-dopa was active was to take a decarboxylase inhibitor concomitantly.

oxytocin is a peptide not a monoamine. Decarboxylase inhibitor wouldn't make a difference.
