Ive been smoking ice for a while and usually my heart rate is around 120 to 160 while on it. I had only residue left today so i smoked that. While sitting around thinking of something to satisfy me i began looking up rec use of things in my med cabinet. I came across oxymetazoline hcl nasal spray and i read that it has amphetamine/stimulant properties so i sprayed a few sprays in each nostril and waited. About 30 minutes to an hour later i noticed my heart beating really slowly. Its been around 30 at the lowest raising up to around 60. Anyone know whats up with this?

In high doses, oxymetazoline can actually cause bradycardia because it partially agonizes the alpha2 receptor like clonidine. You would need a ton of it nasally though.

Thanks! i dont think i took enough to be worried and my heart rates back around 60-70

Good to hear. Methamphetamine also can be an agonist at the same receptor, so perhaps the small dose you smoked + Afrin did it.
