Hi im currently taking 20mg just one does a day just started been about 5 days, how long do i have before i start expeirncing the horrendous withdrawl symptons i have been hearing about?

If you stop right now, I bet you'll feel irritability and a desire to dose. Go ahead, take a 2 day break and see how you feel. If you feel perfectly fine, good for you! If not, well...now you know.

Be extremely careful. You should not be dosing an Opiate once a day, no matter how weak or strong said Opiate may be. In this case, you're doing Oxy's. Synthetic heroin. Stop now, take a week long break then maybe come back to it. Spread out your doses, try one day on, 3 days off. Mental addiction builds fast. Forget the physical addiction, it's the mental you need to worry about. It's life crippling.

Absolutely what J.Wallace said. You probably won't experience withdrawal that bad or for all that long. Probably, if you even do, it's going to be for a day or 2 tops. But after that, you're mentally going to crave it. And the cravings will get much more intense the longer you use it because of your brain adapting to the chemical.

Thanks so much for not judging, my thought on it was a little everyday couldnt hurt but i feel already im mentally addicted so im gonna space out my uses or stop all together. and if i do get withdrawls at this dose should i take like 5mg if im feeling really bad.

if you stop right now, you will probably not feel anything bad. no need for a 5mg dose at all. it's going to feel like a little chill maybe. at most. you will not get the vomiting, skin crawling feel, death, life hating, cold/hot withdrawals if you do not continue. the longer you use, the worse it will get.

If you have withdrawals, they'll be comparable to a mild to moderate flu or cold. Wait them out at this stage. Say you have a cold. 20mg daily is not a lot. Don't go right back to opiates or you begin the downward spiral of using to feel better.

i did oxy for the first time thursday and loved it. then i did it friday, saturday, sunday, and only one line in the morning yesterday. after that 5 day binge, i feel no signs of withdrawal other than mild cravings and some sneezing. i'm getting more tomorrow but i think i'm gonna save it for new years.

*facepalm*

I feel so bad for you people who pick it up and have no idea what you're getting yourselves into.

Yeah well go ballz deep kid. I knew EXACTLY what I was getting into and I did not regret it at all. If your doing what your doing you will experience what your about to go through because your far to comfortable and not thinking correctly.

Tomorrow is the day im staying away for atleat two and i am gonna give my slef one weekend a month thats it, thanks for the help! this site is a amazing

I just recently came out of a 18 month long infatuation with opiates, primarily oxycodone & a fair share of hydros to boot. I'm talking about a daily habit that really crossed the dependency line from a psychological standpoint; I would refuse to perform my daily functions(eat, go to work)if I was unable to hook up that day. I was doing two 30 mg oxycodone tabs on any given day at the peak of this little tryst-by no means an outrageous amount considering many of the stories I've heard from other addicts, but at $20 per tab minimum, this proved to be an unwise financial move on my behalf. I also managed to completely extinguish my libido during this period as well as totally compromise my ability to be joyous or express happiness, inwardly or for the world to see on my face; ie I dont smile or genuinely laugh much lately. I've alienated myself from my friends & have become a complete bore, seemingly incapable of expression. I'd go so far as to say opiates in general are the most selfish, self absorptive substance there is. I digress... I've managed within the last month or so to break away from the daily dosing & as a matter of fact, have only used recreationally once in the last few weeks. Luckily, I never experienced any physical sickness as a withdrawal symptom, but did experience irritability, was short-tempered, & worst of all, became very depressed-um, morose may better describe my mood. I'm substituting that habit with another, unfortunately, but am already feeling much better mentally. The thing I hate about opiates is the false sense of optimism they give you while under their influence-and how quickly that dissipates when you come down; lethargy & apathy seem to win out at the end of the day, & that's a path I choose not to go down any longer. I also didnt enjoy the few times I caught myself nodding off & seemingly not breathing for a few seconds- that's how people end up getting memorialized. Oh, & I dont miss scratching madly to alleviate an itch on my nose, only to have another itch pop up under my armpits as soon as I moved my hand away from my face. It's really corny that this is Americas latest & greatest drug trend & 90% of the worlds heroin is coming out of Afghanistan these days...must be a goofy coincidence. What to do when you just cant seem to cop any 30's anywhere & cheap heroin is abundant in the streets? Just be responsible folks, but I aint preaching.

LOL "balls deep."

J.Wallace, I understand where you're coming from, my man, and in the interest of harm reduction, you're spot-on. But I also have to agree with Thomas here that there are some of us who know exactly what we are getting ourselves into when we dose opiates. It's funny because I don't tell too many people that I like to blow dope, but when I do tell people... I have nothing bad to say about it, really, and I think they're expecting me to talk about how I'm in over my head and I never should have tried it in the first place and yadda yadda... nope; love it, love everything about it, knew exactly what I was getting myself into and the beat goes on lol

I feel the same exact way. I think we are the people with the real problem. I just went to rehab(for like the 6th time) and they were constantly telling me to stop romancing about opiates. They told me to think about all the bad times Ive had. Which Ive def had my fair share of bad times on opiates but they seem to have come when i was out of money. If i had an infinite supply of dope i feel like i would be ok.
