Greetings,
I was on day 3 oxycontin withdrawal, and caved and took two percocets. I was taking 40mg oxy daily for about 6 months. Before that it was tramadol and vicoden for about and additional 6 mths. My question is, am I going to be back at day one withdrawal again after taking the percs? I hope not, but am scared. Someone please answer. I am really trying to kick this habit. Thanks.

not necessarily day 1 but you will be set back. however im assuming the percocets were 5mg? so 10g total? that isnt that much, wont set you back too far. usually oxy withdrawals last about a week, yours shouldnt be any longer seeing as you were on a pretty low dose and only for 6 months. i suspect within 5 or 6 days of your slip up you should be out of the worst of it

loperamide is a miracle detox aid

Thank you so much for your reply red rum, i really appreciate it. Unfortunately, I caved again tonight and took 2 more percs due to horrible pain from a medical condition. I could get prescription for more pills, but I really do want to quit. I am so frustrated at this point. Now I am sure I pushed myself further back and feel like a weak dumb ass right now. I don't know how to use loperamide to help. Could you please tell me how much I should take? And do you mean otc kind? Sorry, I don't know much about this.. Again thank you for your reply Red Rum OG

IMO using one day will put you back a day into withdrawals making you 're-do' a day, and using 2 days will put you 2 days back into withdrawals, so using 3 days in a row will pretty much start them over. If you use a lower dose they will be less severe, but it will be the same amount of days as before.

As for the loperamide yes it's the OTC kind, and 8mg should help you. Using high doses can just prolong the withdrawals, so just take a little bit to make it easier. Read through this thread to see what may help you.

Thank you for your response Tommyboy. I am determined to kick this. I am buying loperamide today. Can't wait to get this monkey off my back!!! I am so grateful to even hear about loperamide to help, as I had no idea that there was anything out there that could help withdrawals. Shows how much I know ha! Really greatful for both of your help! Thanks a lot! :)
