Hi, had a bit of a search, couldn't find much,

Just wondering if anyone has shared a similar experience or if its just me,

I have a bit of experience with oxy's, and I find i get a greater high off popping oxycodone rather than oxycontin, even with the contin completely crushed. Is there a difference in the formulation of these drugs that enables oxycontin to maintain some of its time release properties even after being completely crushed? I have compared the two several times in same brand same dose, and yeah i have found oxycodone to be superior.

(I understand they are exactly the same, IE oxycontin is just oxycodone TR, but just wondering if anyone else has a suspicion that the TR can not be completely broken)

What are your opinions?

No, you can't entirely defeat the time-release mechanism of the current formulation of oxycontin by crushing them. Theoretically you could soak the pill(s) in an acidic solution(lemon water or whatnot) for eight to twelve hours and drink it, all of the oxy should be effectively available at that point.

You can't "crush" the oxycontin that has been on the market for over 2 years now. All I would do with them is chew them till they dissolved in my mouth,

Purdue did a big study and yeah... even with the best ghetto techniques you can still only extract something like 80% of the medication out. The time release is essentially undefeatable. Explains why IR oxycodone is "better".
