Oxycontin V Oxynorm IV

Hey guys, i am an experienced IV user of Oxycontin, but have never used Oxynorm, i know that it is basically the same thing with Oxycontin being controlled release. What i want to know is this-Is IV'ing Oxynorm the same? I can easily have 2 or 3 80mg tabs of Oxycontin in the one shot, so should i use the same amount of Oxynorm. If anyone knows about the differences in IV'ing between the two can you please give me some advice? Should the dose be the same? Is one more intense than the other? Do they both last for the same amount of time? How much should i shoot the first time?

However if you are accustomed to shooting an extended release formula then you may not be getting all of the drug into your shot and should therefore start with less of an instant release preparation.

I don't think so. I've never heard OxyNorm mentioned before so I think it is just a less common preparation which people don't have experience with. I've never seen asking not to cross post stop people from answering before, I even linked the other thread here for you, and it has only been three hours. I also believe my answer pretty much covered your questions didn't it? Since we can't know how much of the extended release oxycodone you were getting out of the OxyCotin prep all we can really say is start low and stay safe.

You can speak with the BDD mods and have them remove any mention of cross posting for you as well if you ask nicely.
 
available in 5, 10, and 20 mg capsules, and also as a 5 mg/5 ml liquid in 250 ml bottles

which of these do you have? I would assume you have capsules? What do the contents look like inside the caps?
 
Capsules and it is a fine white powder. But once again, i have found out by myself with no help! They are shit, do not shoot them. Oxycontin is much much better, they dont do much at all.
 
oxynorm is just an australian brand of IR Oxy in capsules; come in 5, 10 and 20mg caps as swerlz said.

and as amapola pointed out oxycodone is oxycodone, the exact same drug, it's going to be the exact same outcome.

i don't know what you're expecting/wanting to hear? that is the answer. i've IV'd oxynorm and oxycontin formulas and it's exactly the same experience. you're probably going to get a little more oxy in the end solution from the capsules if anything.

leftwing, Swerlz and amapola and correct. Oxycodone is oxycodone and they're the same. If you're IVing them and following correct HR procedures, the effects will be exactly the same.
 
I was surprised when I went to shoot OxyNorm 20mg capsules how much insoluble filler crap was in there. I find one 40mg oxycontin tablet has heaps less junk in it than 2 oxynorm caps. And luck for us we don't have the crap OP oxycontin formulation that the yanks have so they are nice and easy to prepare as well (remove the coating to make it healthier as well).

I highly suggest micron filtering either of these solutions due to the ammount of fillers. Micron filters are available at most (if not all) needle exchanges in aus. Get the .22um blue ones.

Edit - If you really want a good experience from IV then oxy isn't great. Dilaudid (hydromorphone) on the other hand...
 
Oh man OxyNorm are a B to dissolve!
I remember back in the days were I got OxyC and OxyN cheap. At one point he only had OxyNorm and i couldn't get more than 2 capsules of that dirt into one fix..
A lot and i mean A lot of binders in those. Stick with OxyContin if you can.
 
i used 3ml luer lock syringes when prepping oxynorm and at a dose of around 50mg so i guess that may be why i had no problem with the fillers impeding the drawing. they did have a good amount of insoluble material to deter IV use i would assume.

i'd also recommend oxycontin over oxynorm preps.
