Oxycontin to Morphine - what's the dose conversion?

Hello, my dealer ran out of oxycontins last night, but she sold me on some Morphine 200mg capsules. They seem to contain little white beads. Anyways, she said they would be way stonger than my usual oxy's and that I would need to figure out how much to take. After searching everwhere and browsing these threads for the last hour, I have no answer yet. I usually take 20mg of oxycontin 5 times a day. (100mg per day)I have tried plugging once but very entirely, expensively unsuccessful. Could be cause I have Colitis. Anyone know how much I should be taking and wether I could just eat it as is?

Instant release / extended release. If it's made up of little beads, it means that not all the dose is released at once, for example a 100mg ER pill would be more like a 25mg pill being taken every hour for 4 hours (arbitrary numbers). What form was your oxy in, was it Oxycontin or generics?

Sorry, I dont know a lot about this kind of stuff, but I beleive I have been taking IR the 20mg pills are pink, if that helps. Can I eat the morphine?

Yr gonna want about sixty mgs of the morphine, give or take to match yr 20 oxy. Maybe more cause you take it five times a day. How long have you been doing this, whats yr tolerance like? These come intoplay too. And is this for pain or recreation?

I've been on opiates for about 24 years, and my tolerance is probably high by now...I find I can get through the day with 100mg, I have tapered to that over the past 6 months, and it's definitely for pain, not recreation- ( migraines, colitis, and a lot of sports injuries when younger). After reading as much as I could find this morning on Bluelight, I tried taking about 1/4 of the 200mg capsule, and ended up not feeling a thing, and needed my usual 20mg at the usual time I take it.....what could that be all about?

Try crushing it up completely first, to make sure it's all absorbed at once, but maybe try a higher dose this time (half the pill). Morphine effects tend to be a lot less noticeable, though.

you're really suggesting 200mg morphine IR

TAKE 1/2 the beads this time, if that doesn't work try 3/4

if that doesnt work, try a whole one

you can always start low, and up the dose
but u cant start high and lower it

Just to correct something up there...

If it's a pinkish 20mg pill...It's probably OxyContin (ER)...

If it say "OP" or "OC" on one side, and "20" on the other, then it's OxyContin, and, hence, extended release.

I think nAON meant to crush the whole pill up for maximum efficacy and take just half of it. Or maybe he meant just crush up half of it, but I didn't see him recommend to take the entire pill anywhere.

Took me a minute to find what you were referencing...I had to read the thread a couple times, lol.

I think OP was confused as to what the difference between IR and ER is. OP said he takes 20mg oxycontin, so I think when he said IR he actually meant ER. Pretty sure that's what you were correcting, anyway.
