Here i am with my daily oxycodone question :P
srry to annoy you but i find really important to ask my doubts to someone who is experienced...
my question today is: can i use oxy daily, sometime crushed and sometime ER, withouth developing a physical addiction?
I'm not talking about psychologic addiction but only about physical...
i take also 20mg of fluoxetine (god's blessing) daily
i'm asking this because it's like a week i take oxy daily but it's not a necessity for my body...like if i don't take it the whole day and only do it in the evening, or at lower dosages, physically i don't feel bad, not at all!

Oxy is very addictive physically & mentally. You will end up with withdrawals in a matter of weeks not months or years. Be careful, I don't know who your god friend is but they won't be able to help you when your sweating bullets and spewing your guts up. What does Jesus or the pope do for all the homeless junkies in Rome? Is god teaching these junkies some sort of lesson? Seems pathetic and cruel to me. Charles Darwin..
All the best staying clear of addiction!

i didn't understand the god's part :P I only understood i can't avoid physical addiction to oxy...so i'll keep it monitored, don't wanna end in rehab

By "monitored", if you mean anything but not taking it at all or leaving a couple of days between each dose then you will experience physical addiction. Best to read up about the half life of oxy and all relevant info i think. Good luck though, opiate addiction is no joke son.

OP, i almost wanna ridicule you for being so naive, but i guess that ain't the spirit around here.

if you were taking oxy as prescribed for a medical purpose such as the treatment of severe pain, you *might* be able to use daily for quite some time without becoming addicted. but with recreational use, i think the chances of not becoming addicted with prolonged daily use are slim--oxy's dependence liability is substantial.

personally, i don't take opis or other strong stuff such as flunis more than once every few months. cause the day after doing them, i *really* feel like repeating the experience. but then, alarm bells go off--i have a bit of an addictive personality and really wouldn't wanna get addicted to a hard drug.

mmm ok i received the message, addiction seems to be inevitable
regarding the " i almost wanna ridicule you for being so naive " , thanks but it's not necessary ;)
was only wandering if it was possible
so i'll study the half life and other stuff like that to optimize my future addiction

yeah, i try to make sure to take at least 1-2 days off every 3 consecutive days of use to prevent any WDs.
that being said, if you are already addicted to opiates, even one or two days of use can bring back some degree of withdrawals.
I have some good self control myself, but sometihng like oxycontin is such a powerful opiate, it should definitely be taken with caution and never as a daily occurence unless you plan on going through withdrawals.

Anyone (in MY experience) that I've known, myself included, WILL End up being physically dependent . One Thing that I don't think you are realizing is how easily and quickly once a day can turn into twice a day, then 3 times, etc... the sad part is for many people once you get to the point of taking it more than once a day it's too late.
I believe that before the physical dependency takes hold, there must be some level of psychological dependency. I won't get into that theory here...if anyone cares to hear it just let me know :).
BTW, sort of not the point here but I think the God thing was in reference to your fluoxetine being a Godsend, am I correct?
Best of luck,
Cat

i think calling fluoxetine a godsend is more messed up than believing a in a God that will prevent your withdrawals lol.

yeah you can chip once or twice a week for awhile, but for most of us, it'll get you in the end. If you can keep your shit together even for a few years, all it takes is one slip up and then you are a junkie like the rest of us. Tread carefully and go into it knowing the world of pain you'll experience will be beyond your expectations.

Not possible, there's no way to use Oxy daily without developing a physical addiction.

There also is no warning. The more you use the likelier you are to wake up one day in withdrawal.

Ok it seems everyone here has the same opinion, so i'll look up to have a constant rx supply until i'll plan quit (never cold turkey btw) (;
RobotRipping why do you say that? Fluoxetine almost cancelled my acute anxiety and depressive disorder without any side effect (: (ps godsend is clearly metaphoric)

you sorta answered your own question. "If i take oxycontin daily will I develop physical dependence?" if you use something as physically (and psychologically) addictive as oxycodone every day, you will develop dependence in a matter of weeks to a month. I had withdrawals after 2 weeks of daily oxycodone use.

With any dose you will build a tolerance, a low dose user will just have lesser withdrawals.

Tolerance is your body acclimating itself to the drug, so for instance if you start using Oxycontin, and opiate, then your body will slowly REDUCED endogenous opiate production... Homeostasis is pretty annoying sometimes.

You've already asked this question before, man.. you seem to be asking it a lot just hoping for a different answer. You're not going to get one. I don't care what universe you'e in or how many times you ask the question, taking an opiate every day will always lead to psychical dependence.. no if and's or but's about it. So use it every day at your own peril knowing that one day you're going to have to come off of it... and that day's going to suck.

Good luck.
