Opioids Oxycontin itch

I just popped an oxycontin an hour ago along with a xanax. This itching is brutal. I have always had a problem with hydrocodone giving me a mild itch but this is insane.

I just want to rip my skin off at this point.

Any tips on curing this pesky scratching?

Wait for it to pass really. Sometimes I think if I just ignore it for a while it goes away, or I stop noticing it. I've been scratching myself all over on opiates for years and never heard any solution to the itch but scratch it haha

I just took a diphenhydramine hoping it might help a little. A cold shower will be next.

Normally I can tollerate the itch, normally just my nose. Not really a big deal. But this is the worse I have had.

Making it hard to enjoy myself! lol

I just took a diphenhydramine hoping it might help a little.

For future reference, try taking it at the same time or a little before you dose any opioids. IME diphenhydramine is better at preventing the itch than relieving it.
