Opioids Oxycontin directions? please help

After receiving your usual script of oxy...what do the instructions usually say for use? Ex. Take one tablet in the morning...

I have no idea, i know Oxy is a 12 hour release so would the instructions only say to take one in the morning for the entire day, or what?

You should take it once to twice per day, spaced apart by at least 4-6 hours.

Depending on your dosage, of course, it may vary. Does it not say on your label?

Be careful to start out as slowly with them as possible, save a few for when you might need them in the future.
 
Thanks for the reply. But on the script bottle what are the exact instructions for use? Any OC users if you could help me out and tell me it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks
 
Just looked at one of my old script bottles (only a few months old) ... Mine were 20 mg and the exact directions on the bottle say ...

Take 1 tablet every 12 hours.

Oxycontin is indicated for round-the clock pain relief so doctors have no reason to prescribe only 1 a day, it may happen sometimes but in nearly every case, they'd just Rx an IR.

Most oxycodone is prescribed q12 hours, sometimes q8 (so BID or TID... Aka 2 or 3x per day).

I don't see any reason to keep this open.
