Oxycontin - controlled release

Oxycontin controlled release 20mg - Does anyone have any evidence that says 10mg is released in the first hour and 10mg is released four hours later?

Also is it the same for a higher dose such as 80mg? Is an 80mg tab released 40mgs then four hours later another 40mgs released?

in the past ive had OC 80 controlled release,i just crush them as fine as possible for as long as possible using a razor blade and then ingest,usually with a nice tasting drink.

within 20 minutes im feeling it

im sorry i dont know how much per mg gets released at what percentage of time.

I could be wrong, which I probably am, no sources, just from what I've read on this site over the years...I believe that if taken as prescribed that it disperses oxy evenly over an 8 hr period

It doesn't work in the same fashion as Adderall XR where half the dose is released and then 4 hours later the other half. It is steadily released. Don't have a source, just what I heard.
