Is it possible to somehow take the coating off the 10mg Oxy's or crush them so they don't release over 12 hours?

Just want to know as the pain is too much so i'd rather have in one go

I have heard crushing them is very hard & they have added other things to make it not possible. Have tried search couldn't find a definite answer. Thanks

it depends on whether you have the new or old Oxys.. if the imprint is OC(the old kind) than you should be fine to crush and swallow (it will be instant release this way) but if it says OP on it as an imprint it won't work instantly even when crushed.. there are various threads regarding different methods to get the OP's to be instant release.

Be safe.

I'm from Australia so don't know if their different but they have OC on them

Their only 10mgs. had 10mgs Oxycontin & 5mgs Oxycodone last night. My body must be building a tolerance already in two days lol

I usually snort them. But if you are going to do that, you want to take the coating off by simply getting the pill wet and rubbing it in a paper towel until the coating comes off and you are left with a white pill. You CAN just crush it and short it, but the coating burns like hell.

From Erowid:

There are plans in the works to create a new preparation of Oxycontin which would also contain microencapsulated naloxone (an opiate antagonist which blocks the effects of opiates). With this product, if the pill is taken orally, the naloxone would be released and the opiate would have its desired effects. But if the pill is crushed then the naloxone would also be released along with the oxycodone and the opiate would no longer be effective.

Anyone know if this is about the ones with OC printed on them?

ive only ever done the cdn 40s 80s 20s 10s etc thus being with the coating on.. but im starting to get different ones now 40s still being yellow but with oc on the other side does anyone know the difference if there is one>??

yea if theyre the old ones they should say OC on them and you can just wipe the coating off wth a damp paper towel or suck on it (if you do that let it dry before snorting) get some cellophane from a cigarette box or something similar and crush it into a fine powder. then use a razor to break it up even more. make some lines and youre good to go. if they do not say oc and they say OP, as mentioned above, you will not be able to make it instant release. But if you have 5 mg oxycodone too why try to worry about breaking up a 10mg oxycontin? just take another percocet instead. I wouldnt recommend breaking the time release on a 12 hour drug that you may need later on ya know?

That will really fucking suck if it happens. I haven't heard anything about that before, but I can see them doing it.

I hope it doesn't...:\

How does the 10mg release over 12 hours? eg 3mg first hour? 2mgs 2nf hour? or what?
