OxyContin and Morphine questions?

to start off Oxy contin only gives me the tiniest body high.

the way my brother described the OC high is nothing what i feel when i snort a 40 mg.

how come i can get more high on vicodin than on oxycontin?


Also Morphine does absolutely nothing to me
The most ive taken is 8 30mg pills. Absolutely did not feel a thing.

How come morphine doesnt do anything for me?

Could it be cause of the scripts im on?

the scripts im on are adderall xr, risperidone, lexapro, and clonidine.

i take my scripts for ADHD, major depression, and anxiety, and insomnia.

any answers as to why morphine doesnt do anything to me and why OC doesnt get me that high would be greatly appreciated
 
Morphine has a low b/a but the oxycodone is amazing orally.. If you're on antipsychotics they will block your the neurotransmitters that feel pleasure..

I had a feeling it was one of my medications.

But wouldnt low b/a not matter if i was taking 8 of them at once?
 
Correct, to take that amount and feel nothing at all seems odd. Most likely has to do with your other medication as Violenza said.
 
Question:

Opiates MAKE ME SICK. Is there ANYTHING that I can DO, take, etc to KEEP from getting sick? Anti-nausea meds, etc????????? Dig the FEELING but HATE the nausea. Any suggestions?

@ Imagican, If you're getting sick from it, you're most likely just taking too high a dose. It can be a fairly fine line between feeling good, and feeling sick to your stomach.

Antipsychotics do not have MU antagonist properties, you will still get high off opiates.

But I get nauseous with whatever amount that I do that I can feel. It seems like a waste of time and effort to get SUCH a 'tiny buzz' without getting sick to my stomach.

I always heard people say that when they FIRST started using opiates that they got 'sick'. Then, after developing an addiction, they got sick when they DIDN'T do them.

I'm beginning to believe I understand what they were saying.

The ONLY opiate that I've EVER been able to successfully take for a buzz, (or even a tremendous HIGH), is Demerol. But from my understanding, it's not even a TRUE opiate.
 
maybe your brother gave u fake pills? Oxycodone is a great painkiller and has very euphoric qualites, and if u can get high on vicodin and not Oxycontin, something is wrong

He definitely didn't give me cake pills I watched him lick of the green coating on the OC the imprints were OC on one side and 80 onthe other. It was definently real. Plus we've gotten the red 60 mg ones and the yellow 40'mg ones thee definently aren't fake

Maybe oxycodone doesn't get me high like hydrocodone. The only form of oxycodone I've had is oxycontin so maybe oxycodone doesn't work on me. Another drug that doesn't work on me is ecstasy. I've tried three different kind and I know they work cause my friend took the same pill and she was really high
 
i can get very high off oxy but it has no euphoria for me. i much prefer vicodin. it is a very different high when experienced.

youre on a lot of powerful everyday doctor dope thats fuckin you up. you can choose legal drugs or illegal. trying to do a lot of both at the same time usually doesnt work.

Something like promethazine would help, although it's prescription only. I'm not too sure how effective other OTC antihistamines are as anti-emetics.
 
Crushing them will make it hit you quicker, especially if they are the time release kind. The bioavailabilty isn't great snorting them but I still do it sometimes and to me it works about as well as eating them. If they're strong enough to bother I would shoot them, I assume from your question that isn't an option.
 
See, now THAT'S why I asked. I just happen to have a BUNCH of these: promethazine. I just didn't know if they would work for nausea caused by opiates. Can't wait to try it and see.

Everybody reacts differently to every medication, It is very individual. What is one persons miracle drug is another persons useless garbage. Ive heard people that like hydrocodone more than oxycodone before so thats not a huge deal. If you have a pretty low tolerance though I would expect 40mg's of oxycontin to hit you pretty good, so that is surprising to me.

As far as morphine, it does absolutely nothing for a lot of people unless its being injected. Its just got a bad BA and nobody can seem to find an accepted good ROA other than IV, because there just isnt one I guess.

What dose of vicodin do you use that gets you high?

It gets me high in a very general hydro ten sense by any route, but it is one of those drugs (like dilaudid) that is just SO much better IV, you just either understand or you don't.
