My hair is getting thinner, and I think I'm lossing my hair.
Can oxycontin be the cause of my hair loss?

Does Oxycontin cause hair loss

Does Oxycontin or any opiate cause hair loss? I notice my hair is thinning, could it be the oxycontin?

But I have been taking oxycontin for the lost 7 years, but latly my hair loss has increase but so has my oxy intake..

Are the two related??

most likely even w/o oxy use u would still be losing hair. The only thing difference might be the speed of loss. If you aren't taking care of yourself as well as you would if u weren't using then u will lose the hair faster. But most likely hair loss is inevitable for you. It's in your genes and there isn't much u can do about it other than implants or maybe rogaine.

As the previous poster said, take good care of your physical state. Eat well and get all ur vitamins to slow down the process as much as possible.

Genetics do. I had friends in highschool who started going bald at 15 and the one was pretty much bald with a combover by HS graduation.
