oxycontin - 1st time - NOT impressed!!

My personal experiences with oxys is that the high isn't worth the fucking itchiness it gives me... drives me fucking nuts, so I just don't take them anymore.

As far as your debate on dosage, I had to take two 20's to really feel them... but of course by then I'm itchin like a motherfucker and goin crazy.
 
well...update here: i took a 10 mg percocet monday nite (8/11) and that hit me harder than that OC did. i took it normally - orally, not cut/crushed/anything. i also waited about 45 mins (or as long as i could stand it) before smoking any pot. so...maybe the weed did have some effect, but i don't understand why. and i do like opiates..very much so. that's why i was so stoked to try the oxy. t'will be snorted for sure next time!

ugh man haven't you read any of the post oxycodone is oxycodone is oxycodoneno don't snort it when you took that 10mg percocet it would be the same as splitting a 20mg contin(give or take a mg) and parachuting it crushed of course. i dont want to just come out and say for a good time do this but if you haven't been able to put the pieces together from all of the other post then maybe you should even be messing with opiates just take a 20mg crush parachute and nod.there now im breaking the rules by giving a how to but you left me little choiceand of course you wouldent crush a percocet why would you?
 
oxy sux. it has too many side effects. i dont see why there is so much hype. it might lift your mood some but can lift your stomach too.
 
the only reason ive had experiances with oxy's not doing anything to me is because all the hype about them, like the first time you take them you here how much they fuck you up and shit, and you have preconcieved notions about what its gonna be like, like thinkin its gonna be so great you actually are over poweing it with your thoughts onhow good its gonna be when you actually are feeling it and dont even realize it, after like the 3rd or 4th time i took em i just chilled and didnt expect anything great like 20 minutes later it was fuckin great, they are everything people usualy talk about them as being, just have the mindset before you take them that there only gonna do what they are capable of and nothing more, they are great tho give it another try if u can get em again
 
just like hw you were sayin, you were very anxious for them to start working and geting annoyed, but the 10 miligrams of percocet fucked you up even more, all percocet has in it is the active ingrediant in oxycontin, mixed with tylenol, i bet you didnt stress over the perc doing all sorts of great things tho and thats why it fucke you up more, just a guess but its logical and in many situations personal and 2nd hand thats the cause of why they dont work
 
It's as simply as you need to fucking crush them to eat or better yet, snort. Works far better, very fast and direct, and you will feel it. Eating an oxy whole is a waste, it is time release as fuck.
 
im sure she probly took the time release off it, if not that was a horrible waste of a pill
 
well yea but then you would have that plastic waxy time realease all in the crushed pill, just put the pill in your mouth for like 3 seconds till its kinda wet and rub the coating off underneath your shirt or somethin thats what i do, most effective way of getting it off
 
um have you not read any of the other post the coating has nothing to do with the time release im goign to have to agree with another bl'er when i say bring back the FAQ.
 
Hahaha, so this whole time you've been doing that but still popping them whole and thinking you got instant release?
 
uhm, the coating is the time release morons, i peel it off and then sniff the pill, but yea, what do you think they put a coating over it for????? to make it look cool, [insult removed -Splatt]

peoples opinions on what the time release is hardly gives me any answers, doesnt really mater tho the time release is the coating around the pill, just like with every other pill that is time release, its because of the coating on it, i fail to see how they just decide that for every pill they want to be time release'd they put a coating over it, but for some reason with oxycontin they make the pill its self time release and put a coating over it for nothing at all, come on now fellas the time release is the coating they put over it, ask a doctor

It common sense if you stop and think about it. If the coating is the time-release funtion when you take the pill orally and swallow it, the first thing to start to disinagrate in yout stomache is the 'outer-coating' than you are left with the pill that has the active chemicals in it. Slowly your stomache breaks down the pill, which in turn gradually lets the oxycodone seep into your system.

Now if the coating was a time-release once it is gone how would it effect the absorbsion of the oxycodone into your bloodstream? Saying that it is the time-release would be saying, that when you swallow the pill, the time-release is the first thing to go. So say you swallow it at 12pm by 1pm the coating would be gone and your body would absorb the oxycodone at once. The time-release is built into the body of the pill so that the absorbsion rate is controled.

Sit back and think about it... Common sense...

If your gonna start yelling at people and insulting them trying to make a point, it's a good idea to know what you're talking about.=D The time release mechanism is a dual-polymer matrix that is contained within the pill.

I read on another site that oxycontin is just oxycodone with time release. I have heard you must open & crush the oxycontin, I have oxycodones and they're powder inside. They don't do much for me but I do have some tramadol that's working pretty good right at this moment. :)
