Harm Reduction Oxycodone Withdrawal

Anyone have any idea how much longer I am going to have to withdrawal from oxycodone? I have 7.5 days in and it is sort of getting better but I am also addicted to alcohol (just 3-4 drinks a night, nothing too crazy). I have to go back to work in 3 days and I cannot be feeling like this during that time. I have heard 5 days, 7-8 days, and worst was 10 days for IR oxy that I have heard of. Please let me know what I can do to feel a bit better, besides Soma, ambien, and diazepam, which I use when I can’t handle the pain. Also. how do I fix the insomnia I have been having? Drinking and ambien puts me out for like 2-3 hours, but then I just have a massive headache and can’t go back to bed after that. Any information is helpful, thanks!

Oh swriosuly? I have never heard of it. What does it do? Because I am almost 8 days in (7 days 14 hours) and all i am having is insomnia so if that helps than yes I would love to get some hahaha.

Phenibut is a gabapentenoid. It acts on gated sodium voltage channels in the brain and will cause significant relief during opiate withdrawal.Gabapentin is also good

You’re almost out of the woods…..,physically. Mentally is a different issue depending on length of use, dosage, etc

You COULD go into a walk-in clinic tell them the full scoop….as for for comfort meds just for a week

Clonidine 0.1mg tablets (240 lbs man, even half a scored tablet has a moderate anxiolytic effect on me during day, and a full tablet hour prior to bed

Pregabalin (Lyrica) 150mg capsule (Amazing Gabapentinoid) 90% oral bioavailability, empty stomach peak serum levels 1.5h (fully fed 4 hours) a VERY effective anxiolytic and anticonvulsant, originally targeted for neurological pain conditions, but countless off-label uses. If I were a doc….Id give you a script for :

Oxy-IR 5mg score tablets (2.5mg Oxy) to be taken in morning with (only 2.5mg for 3 days)
1/2 tablet of scored Clonidine 0.1mg (whole tablet before bed)
Pregabalin 50mg capsules X 3 daily
Diazepam 5mg (when you get home + 2.5mg Oxy + Preg 50 + Ritalin 5mg (you’d feel GREAT )
Ritalin (Methylphenidate) 5mg IR

5-7 days max……first few days highest, then each day gradual reduction, no opioids, just Clonidine, Pregabalin, Diazepam, Ritalin 5mg (if required or needed)


After a SERIOUS OPIOID DEPENDANCY I did cold turkey…….first 3 days are horrid……day 3-9 are INSANELY HORRID……10-14 days recovering

2 week’s physically ok ……comfort meds help big time

Your mixing opiods with Alcohol a big.NO NO. 3-4 drinks a night and the pills . Your kidney function needs to be looked at. I love to have fun ( I don't drink alcohol). It doesnt sound fun ? It sounds like a job , instead of being fun. Try cannabis or.edibles for insomnia try valerian ( natural) try kava kava natural as well.
