Ive recently been abusing Oxy this week. Since thursday, I been on them except for ONE day because I went to the bar and was dealing wtih benzo withdrawal that day...

If I dont dose tomorrow, will I get withdrawals? (im in the process of quitting benzos but tapering , doses been taking is around 20-60mg oxycodone per day, tonight only 20mg so far)

Reason I ask is a gorgeous girl I know is in from out of town unexpectedly and I dont wanna go see her if im gonna hit WD's out of no where or something.. Would really suck.
shes not really aware of my drug use or my lifestyle and I dont want to leave any impressions just incase .. cuz this girls far from a drug user or so I assume !

It's really impossible to say. When I first started using heroin, I could use for as long as two weeks without developing any major withdrawals. Now if I use three days in a row I get a habit.

All I can say is that you'll know within 24 hours of your last dose. If you do get withdrawals, they will probably be pretty minor, but you still won't be at your best for your date. There's this unofficial junky rule that I here all the time which is "never use three days in a row".

^Like Z said, when I first started using oxy and heroin, I could use it for several days and be fine after a day or two of not using. However, now I can use for three or four days and Ill still go into withdrawal when I dont take my dose. It is pretty minor compared to some of the heavy withdrawals Ive been through, but it is still no fun. Mainly the cold chills, headache and Im on the toilet about half the time Im awake. But for me, the worst part of withdrawal is the mental aspect. Depression, anxiety and fiending for my fix. When going through these minor withdrawals after only a few days of use, I just look at it like Ive been through this before, and this is nothing. It helps ease my mind a lot.

^ What the above 2 posters said.

Withdrawals are pretty unpredictable. Sometimes they are worse than expected (considering the doses and length of the binge), and other times they are a lot better than expected. The best thing is to not go into it expecting it to be bad, since such a large part of it is mental it will play a large part in how it goes.

Right. The first withdrawals that I ever faced we're from suboxone as stupid as that sounds. Back in 2007, they were handing bupe out like it was candy, claiming that it was not addictive, not psychoactive, along with a whole bunch of other lies. When I went into an inpatient rehab, they took me off of it, and I experienced what I now would recognize as withdrawals, but at the time, I thought I just had a stomach virus, and a serious emotional imbalance in addition to insomnia. It was pretty bad, but since I was under the impression that these symptoms couldn't possibly be from suboxone, I was able to get through it a lot easier than I would today.

^ Dude, same thing with me. I had experienced some minor withdrawals, but my first real kick was off of suboxone. I was prescribed it in court mandated outpatient rehab when I wasn't even dependent on opiates (2007). They made each person see the doctor after their intake, and he asked me if I still had opiate cravings. I said yes, and he wrote me a script for 60 8mg suboxone. I was high as shit the first 5 days on it, and was on it for 18months before going away to school only to find out that there wasn't a suboxone doctor within 3 hours driving distance from me. Mind you I was prescribed 32mgs a day by that point (don't ask) but had mostly been taking 16-24mg daily. Worst kick ever. I know those doses were high, but back then I didn't even know what suboxone was when I was put on it. Like you [zneg] said, they were just handing it out like candy back then, and were saying that you really didn't experience withdrawals from it.

Suboxone was also the first opiate I had withdrawals from. It was definitely the worst in my opinion, just because of the duration. Ive also come off oxy and heroin. Ill take short and intense over long and shitty any day.

This is likely because you quit using Suboxone at a high dosage. I think if people took their time tapering with Suboxone, got down to a very small dosage before quitting, and then tried quitting then, it would take a lot less out of you. :)

This is true. The last time I truly tried to quit I was still at around 1mg per day which isnt a dose you want to be at when coming off bupe. I have come off it now several times, mainly due to not being able to afford it. But each time Ive made it to around day six or seven then said screw it. I couldnt take it anymore. This last time I actually quit for nearly a month, now Im back on it...Oh well

When do you actually say you are "hooked"? As same as how do you know your alcohol consumption makes you an alcoholic, I mean, You do take thoses substances but with the general idea that you won't "need" it to bypass the withdrawal, if you can do this doesn't it makes it a bit harsh to say you're hooked? I like chocolate milk and I drink it everyday but i'm not hooked on this, its when it creates an endless cycle and you are dopesick that makes you addicted to this. Well, that's my opinion at least. Best way to stop something is to start something else, has always worked for me.
