Hi gang. Sorry I to make another one of these withdrawal threads but I need some help as I have been to two doctors and both won't script clonidine or any benzo for a week because they both weren't sure about how to use clonidine in opiate withdrawal was there response.

I have also just started on Effexor, and will have been on it almost 2 weeks right now at 75mg/day. Now I have been experiencing some extreme anxiety lately, and I'm not sure if also diphenhydramine has played a roll in this or not? I was using diphenhydramine to boost my Oxy dose, but I am not sure if Effexor and diphenhydramine are okay to take together or not? Now all I have for meds are basically: Lyrica & Trazodone, and I have a few Hydromorphcontin 6mg, and a few Tylenol 4's. I took my last Oxy dose of 160mg at about 2pm, and it is now almost 11:00pm and my face is started to get really hot and some withdrawal symptoms are appearing. I have only been using for about 3-4 weeks, but realized that its just putting me back to sqaure one. As I have been out of rehab now for about 4-5 months, and was opiate free for about 6 months.

Sorry for the long post guys, any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

I also had a few Valium a couple of weeks back, along with my 90mg of phenazepam which I don't remember because I blacked out for 3-4 days and must have taken the whole 90mg. So I hope I am not experiencing Benzo withdrawal again all over again? Do you guys think that the couple valium I had, as well as the phenazepam nightmare for 3-4 days would put me back in benzo withdrawal after I had been benzo free for almost 7 months? :\

It is most definetly opiate w/d :) don't worry I would CWE a couple t4's and that should do it. diphenhydramine inhibits reuptake of the neurotransmitter serotonin so it can interfere with your antidepressant but I dought it since it is really weak. I also dought you are in benzo w/d but only you would know that for sure. I mean that alone should not be enough to cause benzo w/d if you ask me but anything is possible.

I am sorry your doctor wont prescribe you clonidine for opiate withdrawal, every pm doc I have seen always tells me that they will give me clonidine when I get off opiates because it helps immensely with withdrawals, due to the wacky blood pressure your body has during them.

I would change your tactic and just describe your symptoms, which are anxiety, not able to sleep, and any other results of going through wd. Valium is one of the widely prescribed benzo out there, these doctors are just being asses. Don't mention you are going through wd, if you are comfortable with that. Good luck

^ Thanks guys. For one thing, I am never touching fucking phenazepam again. That shit nearly killed me. And I guess I had a fever of 103.3 and my mom took me to the hospital (which I don't remember) and I had a CAT Scan, blood work, EKG's done any everything. I pray to god that it did not put me back to step 1 of benzo withdrawal. Opiate w/d is rough enough.
