Which do you guys like better? What do they each feel like to you? What is the ratio of one to one? What would 90 mg of oxyCODONE be to oxymorphone? My doctor mentioned to me before about RXing oxymorphone. Any input would help. I could google all sorts of stuff but it's nicer to have direct comments.

Thanks!!!

Please do your own research, it's not that hard. Go to an opiate conversion chart for a dosage calculation. We can't tell you how you'll react to drugs, it all depends on your body.

That being said I've heard oxymorphone is longer lasting and possibly more euphoric than oxycodone.

Research ROA as well.

I could be wrong, but that might be one of the opiates that has low oral bioavailability

They are two completely different drugs. I'm not insulting your intelligence, as it's a common mistake, but a lot of people draw inaccurate parallels between the two because they sound similar.

Yes, they are both Opioids, but there are a lot of additional variables at play between the two. For instance, the bioavailability to ROA ratio is huge with Oxymorphone and next to non-existent with Oxycodone.

This is just to name one of many scenarios that I'm sure would be better explained by a pharmacist. As far as getting advice on your favorite drugs, we just don't do that. It is not a big deal, but we need to keep content related directly to harm reduction.

I do my own research . But when you want to ask something specific and get straight answers I will post here .. you didn't have to respond

I meant to quote to you before. I do my own research . But when you want to ask something specific and get straight answers I will post here .. you didn't have to respond To my post you do know that?

I still have no idea what the hell ROA means. I was just curious if OXYMORPHONE is better than OXYCODONE. Because the effects is the same on everyone . Obviously everyone responds different BUT for the most part , feelings from them are the same.

You have to start using Google dude. Again, I'm not belittling you, but the acronym ROA or Route of Administration is as common in this forum as Hello.

You asked which is "better", which is difficult to state. As I said in my first post Oxymorphone's bioavailability is highly variable based on ROA while Oxycodone really is not.

True --- well I didn't ask to know how to take the pills. I was just curious to see everyone's drug of choice when it comes to oxy MORPHONE and oxy CODONE. Just wanted to see if I would benefit from taking morphone. It'll also be good for google and for people that are wondering same things as me. They will see my post when they google . Lol

Oxymorphone blows oxyCODONE out of the water. But not orally. OM is poorly absorbed when swallowed (only ~10%). Snorting or plugging are awesome though. Would not recommend IVing though for the sake of harm reduction.

Mizer I think part of the point keif is trying to make is that everyone is different. You can get opinions but that doesn’t mean it will be the same for you.

For example, oxy is widely known as better than hydrocodone. The conversion/strength charts support this, as well as anecdotal evidence.

I’ll use myself as an example. If I take 40mg of oxycodone vs 55-60 mg of hydrocodone, that is a roughly equivalent dose based on conversion charts. I find that the hydro affects me better than the oxy. If I have a choice between hydro and oxy at equivalent prices, I’ll choose the hydro. Therefore what’s known as “common knowledge” doesn’t apply “commonly” to everyone.

And yes we know you didn’t ask how to take the pills or about ROA. But it’s very important which is why myself and others brought it up. It’s extemely important when you get into stuff like oxymorphone (as NodAlot showed above) and hydromorphone, etc.

It was an attempt to help educate, yet you seemed to take it as an attack. No need to get so defensive, my friend.

Shartito thanks. I only got defensive mainly against the person replying first. And I took it a little different from Keif yes but not as a full attack. It just seems everytime someone posts something, someone has to yell at them as to why they posted it here, or why they at asking the same question or like 12 other things. Just leave people be lol. I understand structure but there's a lot of exaggeration as well. Thank you guys so much for your responses. I am grateful for you guys in a lot of ways !!

You got it buddy.

My best advice, if you’re a true pain patient, is to follow your doctor’s counsel.

If the oxymorphone doesn’t do the job, I’m sure he would switch you back to oxycodone.

My doctor is giving me 120 OXYMORPHONE IR pills. I take 80-100 mg at once oxycodone now. I know MORPHONE is double the strength of CODONE. How much oxymorphone would you take, if you were me, first ? 20-30 mg? Or should I do 10 mg. Is it apt different then each other ?

Thanks!

Start with 10mg of OM. 10-15 may be enough.

EDIT: ^^ if using nasally. Oral absorption of oxymorphone is ~10%...

Yes only orally. So if I take 20 mg it’s really 10 mg? Is that what you are saying ? So I should take 20 mg. Even though I take 100 mg of oxycodone just take 10 mg oxymorphone ?

Do most pharmacies carry 10 mg opana oxymorphone instant release ? And my goodness there expensive .....
