Oxycodone Strength?

Everyone I was wondering if Oxy is less effective when taken on a full stomach as compared to a empty one. I usually take my Oxy after a meal and I notice at least to myself anyway I don't feel it as much.

Anyone know of a way to get a stronger effect of the Oxy orally after the time release is gone. Thanks in advance

I almost always insufflate on an empty stomach.....when I begin to feel the effects I proceed to eat healthier items like fruit and yogurt, enough to fill my stomach. This is on oxycodone

I also remember years ago I used to eat greasy foods after taking pills orally and it may have helped to break it down quicker...

In conclusion I believe oxy to be no more less effective one way versus another, it will do what it does best no matter what. That being said there are different BA's in reference to different ROA's. Bio-availability and route of administration. I also remember reading that milk may decrease the effects of opiates, but that could be an old wives tale

My bad if you already knew any of that

from my experience, oxies on a full stomache absorbs alot slower. making it seem as if its not affecting you as much, when the reality is you are getting high, juz not reaching the full plateau instantly.
Ive even tried crushing up pills and eating them with a full stomach thinking it would absorb faster that way, but got the same effect.

well there IS a direct correlation between how high you feel and how quick your blood levels of a drug rise, and they rise much quicker with instant absorption so it would make sense that slower absorption would lead to a slower rise of oxycodone in your blood meanind less percieved effect...

I never do anything on an empty stomach because it makes me feel weird & my stomach starts to hurt. Eat something light 30 minutes before hand.

When i take my methadone I typically take it early (5-7am), then eat a light breakfast about 45 minutes after. This way it gets absorbed as fast as possible, and i find eating shortly afterward eliminates any chance of nausea.

Never tried Methadone & wanna try it some day. I guess since it takes like 4 hours for you to peak on it, eating 45 minutes later is a good thing to do.

Yeah I feel like it gets absorbed and will start working relatively quickly, like 45 minutes, but the effects don't peak for a few hours after that. So I think that eating like an hour after ingestion doesn't really effect it, because the methadone is already absorbed and has started working. Could be different for other people though, that's just my experience with taking methadone daily for the past year.

I agree on the empty stomach, sometimes I eat a hershey kiss to have something fatty in there so it will absorb better...

on a full stomach id say it doesnt hit you as hard, or not much at all and ive done pills for along time, if anything snort it and youll get a good high, and quick. or IV it. but if anything id take or snort it on almost empty stomach then wait a bit and eat some but dont fill yourself up or i think itll make the effects lower but thats just my opinion
