Opioids oxycodone rush

am i the only person who gets a good strong although not very long lasting rush from IVing oxycodone because almost everyone on BL says it doesn't give you a rush but me and my dad strongly disagree
 
it provides little histamine release, that's really what everyone is saying . That, along with quick onset make a good opioid rush.
(How cool is it you Iv with your dad. wish I could do that with mine)
 
The "Rush" is an extremely subject experience. The rush will differ from ROA (IV, plugging, smoking, intranasal, etc. etc.), drug (oxycodone, heroin, morphine, etc. etc.) but most importantly individual.

So yes, there certainly is a rush when shooting oxy. But it is not the same as that you get from morphine or heroin. Other people also are most likely to experience the rush differently from you or anyone else.
 
@lazyjoe it's nice to be able to inject dope with my dad but at the same time it's a little sad we both damn near ruined our lives doing that shit
 
Oxycodone provides no rush, I don't know anyone who says it has a rush. It seems a lot of people online confuse onset with a rush, but I can see why. I find it really hard to believe anyone who says they get a rush from oxycodone.
If it provides a rush, it is so mild I don't think it deserves to be called a rush, IMO.

Can you describe this "rush"?
 
@op . Sorry if I offended you. Just meant that it seemed nice that you can relate to each other and still get to spend time together.
I wish I could get my dad to relate. He has no idea about addiction and what it involves,,

I've only IV'd oxycodone twice, and both times it was a high enough dose to get me high, but I did not experience a rush. I have only heard a few people say that they get a rush from it, so you're not alone, but are definitely in the minority there.

I think that the effects of drugs are genetic, which could explain why both you and your dad get a rush from it. I have a family member that does a lot of the same drugs as me, and they get many of the same effects that I get, even those that are less common. It makes it easy for me to know when they are on a drug since they act the same way that I do when on that drug. We've had very similar trips from mushrooms, stimulants make us quiet instead of talky, and we both get withdrawals in the same way after the same doses. It's a pretty interesting phenomenon.
 
I've never experienced ANY real "rush" from shooting oxycodone. Neither have a lot of other people on this board. It certainly isn't no morphine/heroin, hydromorphone, meperidine/pethidine or fentanyl.

This. All shotting Oxy did for me when I was using opiates was provide a faster onset than eating them. It gave no rush. Heroin gives a rush, as does Hydromorphone.

People are confusing the rush with onset.

Awesome analogy. It gives zero rush, hydromorphone's is BANGIN.

Let me expand on this analogy: a rush = the sexual satisfaction that's built up and peaks during the feeling of ejaculation.

IV Oxycodone: the feeling you get when a doctor puts a vibrator up your ass and stimulates your prostate and forces ejaculation with no sexual satisfaction.

IV hydromorphone: the feeling you get when you're fucking playboy centerfolds dressed up as the cheerleading team. And you're the quarterback

It's not unusual at all that addiction passes down through generations... My grandfather was an alcoholic, my father is an alcoholic, and now I'm an alcoholic, too. I'm 29 years old but a couple of years ago I still had to live with my father for some time because I had financial problems and couldn't afford living on my own. We were drinking together all the time, I went to liquor store at 9 am every day to get us some booze. My dad is a person who never really grew up to be an adult who can take responsibilities... The only things I ever learned from the damn old man were drinking and smoking.

i never ivd oxycodone before just took it normal and snorted it, hydromorphone shot was awesome but was awesome snorted too only 4mg tho for some reason
