Soo, few weeks ago I put a thread on here detailing how when going to sleep/asleep on opiates, I can sleep fine, but have bad nightmares. Which is tolerable cuzz they're not that bad but mainly I GET SLEEP. Now, whenever I dose some Oxy or whatever opiate, later in the evening (9 or 10C time) I can lay them comfortably, feeling the glowing affect when u lay ur head down n all that but I just LAY there.. For an hour or even more, halfway conscious but other half semi, maybe the nod. But Ill still be awake & just sweating a lil bit, depending how high on the Oxy I am.. But no matter WHAT now, I cant just straight up fall asleep while some Oxy recently active in my system.. I'll usually have to pop a beno plus a sleep aid just to fall asleep n stay asleep for several hours until I hit REM once.. Why is this now ? Month or two ago it was all good, I LOVED falling asleep while high on some opiates.. Now its just a lay there-fest, sweating , maybe falling asleep but having periods n periods of interrupted sleep :/ Any suggestions ?

By the way, the reason mainly, for re-dosing my drug so late in the evening is so I can wake up still somewhat high & nto feeling any kind of W/D...

Well my friend you are taking an extremely stimulating opiate right at bed time...TONS of people (including myself) will not get a wink of sleep when dosing on oxycodone anytime in the evening. I find it hard to believe that you can't dose in the early afternoon and wake up without withdrawals. When I would IV heroin I would get around 18 hours at least without sickness and the half life of morphine is 2 hours. The half life of oxycodone is 3.5 - 4 hours you shouldn't be getting sick so soon...I think the sleep is more important than waking up with a somewhat high you should dose upon waking...who doesn't love opiates for breakfast?

I honestly think it has more to do with tolerance than it does with the fact that oxy is stimulating.

The first time I ever took Oxycodone, an OP 40 cut into 4ths with zero tolerance, I got high as FUCK and passed the fuck out. I tried staying awake as long as possible but it was futile.

I get this on all opiates with a decent to high dose. I always sleep like a baby. Hydrocodone, Methadone, Buprenorphine, Oxycodone.... That's all I've tried personally but since I still have a low opiate tolerance, any opiate I take seems to put me to sleep with ease when I lay do and let the nod take hold of me.

People with a high tolerance seem to loose this ability. Seriously, I keep seeing people asking about this specifically and it seems all the people who say they can't sleep are ones who take opiates regularly or did take opiates regularly and have high tolerance.

IDK man I guess it is different for everyone because when I had a habit of 150mg and then I just decided to start doing 300mg I still never caught a nod off oxycodone. I always stayed up all night no matter what, not even a hint of being tired. I think it just seems like some people are more sensitive to the stimulating effects of thebaine derived opiates because if I don't dose suboxone in the morning it will give me insomnia as well.

Always I recently found out that, while going thru mild W?D symptoms, or even waiting furher into more worse sickness when u finally do DOSE then, the dose feels sooo much stroger as if my tolerance dropped big time. Feels great, but I dont think I can bring myself to waiting almost the whole day or so just do start feeling sick to get high again lol
