Oxycodone lasting in water

Hello,

Sorry for the odd question but let's say that a few oxycontin 80s were crushed up and placed into a fresh bottle of water then closed back up. Does it stay effective in there for a certain amount of time and still have the same effects as taken orally like the pill? I tried to search for this question but I had no luck and wondering of someone here had a answer for me. I know the drug is water soluble but I still am unsure. Any experiences would be great. Thanks in advance.

I actually don't know if oxycodone is stable in water or not - imagine so but really not sure! Hopefully someone else can help with that.

However, water left by itself goes pretty manky - unless it has something in it to prevent growth of micro-organisms - so be careful, especially if you aren't using sterile water initially and an airtight seal.

It will not be sitting for a long time at the most 24 hours. Will the drug still be intact sitting in the bottle water for that small amount of time.

I really don't know I'm afraid, you might just have to give it a try and see..

It should have the same oral effects as taking a crushed pill, but I'd imagine would be absorbed more quickly and therefore hit you faster.
