Oxycodone induced anxiety ?

I've been using oxycodone for over a year now (on and off) , lately been developing a tolerance. I use to get good pain relief and euphoric effects just from 5mg. BUT now 15mg aint doing much of anything.

I tried snorting some instead to see if it would work better but instead this happened;

-Snorted 10mg OxyNorm (fuckload of powder, did not expect so much from such a little capsule! , messed up my nose)
-Five-10 minutes later felt some sort of "rush" coming on, like a weird opiate speed effect. Nothing major.
-After that, swallowed 5mg more of OxyNorm.
-I spent the next 2-4 hours shaking and feeling cold, uncomfortable and feeling panicked.

A few hours past and the effects went away but when I went to fall asleep I started feeling like a panic attack was about to come on again.

This never happened before whenever I take an opiate. So I took .5mg of clonazepam to help me calm down and fall asleep.

Has anyone else experienced this ?

Sounds like you overdid it. It's quite common for mild opiate overdose to result in dysphoria. Nasal administration can result in a much faster onset and rapid peak plasma levels.

IMO, oxycodone is best when taken orally. Even if you hit it right with insufflation, the effects will be more intense at first, but will wear off much quicker than oral administration.

Yeah, oxycodone is a very stimulating opioid and can induce anxiety in some people. I've been there myself...sometimes it was a "good" anxiety and made me want to get shit done, while other times it was a bit more than I wanted.
