Oxycodone in the UK

Hello. Just wondering if anyone here is either prescribed oxycodone in the UK or comes across it illicitly. It is generally only prescribed for chronic cancer pain and I have never come across it at work or in the illicit sphere.

Any Brits on here come across oxycodone in any form either with prescription or without in her majesty's domain?

Thanks for the response Rio! If you don't mind me asking, for what condition are you taking oxycodone for your pain? Also I'd be interested in what dosage etc?

I'm enquiring purely out of clinical interest, not trying to source CDs illegally!
 
I understand, but it is just basically a self serving thread that serves no real purpose. Nothing in regards to harm reduction or education. It is borderline sourcing.. So what if you aren't flat out asking where to find OC..

Leave it to the mods. Not trying topick a fight or anything I just didn't think these types of threads are looked too highly upon in BDD or OD.

He is asking if anyone gets oxycodone with, or without a prescription.. He already knows what it is prescribed for...My point is simply that there is no point to this thread. It is a yes or no answer, that varies by individual case obviously. Its like posting a thread asking 'Does anyone come across dope in New York' Or 'Have you ever found wintergreen gum at the super market' etc. etc..

I said leave it to the mods I was just stating my reasoning. Sorry your panties had to get wadded up so tight.
 
I think its in a gray area, BDD rules are a bit different than OD rules, IIRC. Anyway, I'm interested as well, as it seems that oxycodone is very popular in the US but maybe the Brits like another painkiller instead, that wouldn't be sourcing, but finding out doctors' habits (could still maybe be considered sourcing now that I think of it, now I'm thinking like a mod...)

Anyway, it can't be that bad for the BLer's in the UK, you all have codeine and morphine OTC, as well as promethazine. I mean, morphine/promethazine OTC and I would be good happy.

I don't actually get any pain, aha. But I had a back injury last June, and I badgered the doctor till he prescribed me oxycodone. Originally it was 56 10mg OxyNorm capsules a month (pretty convenient since you twist them open and its 10mg of pure oxycodone powder), it's gone up and down since then and now I'm on 28 10mg capsules a month. I'm supposed to take one a day but my supply is usually gone two or three days after I pick it up :)
