Ok so i need a tooth pulled, went to dentists had 2 xrays done and due to the pain im getting from it... which im currently controlling slightly with 500mg apap 7.46mg dhc OTC pain killing tablets. Now when i went to the dentists to get my plan for fixing my teeth, he said 2 fillings and 1 tooth needs to be pulled.

Now I was on 2mg xanax, 20mg diazepam and 2mg etizolam and i was still so anxious about getting my tooth pulled that i just froze in the dentists room and they said think about if i wanna wait 5months and get it removed at hospital or come back next week and get it pulled in house using a local.

Now my question is, will 10mg oxycodone (oxynorm, british IR form of oxy) be ok to take without telling the dentist on the day my tooth is due for pulling. The only reason I ask is im worried if the oxy will interact with the local they will inject into my gums. I'm scripted diazepam so my dentists knows im on that, but im not scripted oxy, i dont take oxy daily... have taken it 3 times before and looking to use it for my dentist visit without telling anyone.

Harm reduction advice please? Since i dont know what dentists use for a local, and i dont want to blindly take oxy without telling the dentists and causing issues when they inject the local into my gums for tooth removal.

why dont you just save it for after the procedure when you will actually be in even more pain? Not to mention, combining any opiate with benzos with no tolerance is always a risky proposition, even at those low amounts. You might not die or anything, but you could experience some uneasiness if not used to the effects.

Theres no interaction between locals and oxycodone that I know of.
Theres no piece of advice I would give though. Use the oxy after the dentists. You will be very sore after the procedure and the oxy will be better employed dealing with this type of pain.
Also, since youve been using otc painkillers, im worried that you dont realize how potent oxycodone is...its extremely potent (around 2x the power of morphine). If your opiate naive then 10mg of oxy on top of your benzos could be quite dangerous.
At the least you will nod in the dentists, not conductive to a good dentist relationship.

I have heard stories about opiates thinning your blood but I haven't found any legitimate evidence to back it up
Save em for after anyways, you won't feel a thing if they anesthetize you correctly

I didn't get nothing while having two teeth extracted and the two top pulled....After they gave me a script of Hydrocodone which made me loopy but I was in so much pain after the 30 pills where gone.........I would wait.....Also they should give you something afterwards....if they don't than that's just cruel.

i've gone in while benzod several times and was fine with just anesthetic afterwards i needed all the dilaudid i could up my butt tho or oxycodone, usually got 4-5 days worth scripted and got through fine. dentists are pretty good about scripting strong shit. i'd just wait but 10mg isnt much, your call.

how the fuck do u pull fillings, you mean 2 filled teeth?

Wait till after.
I guarantee that your dentist knows what he's doing will numb you up and youll be just fine.
id say skip the benzos as well unless you have a tolerance and take them daily.
its just a tooth being pulled it'll be alright.

Heed the warnings you've received about mixing opiates and benzos in my opinion its nothing to be played around with and if he prescribes you pain meds for after the teeth are removed id skip your benzos while on them. Also try to avoid taking that oxy unless you really need it. Say a day when the pain is most unbearable vs right away.after the procedure.

Good luck, this isnt that big of a deal just minor dental work everything will.be ok.

when I had no tolerance it was pretty easy for me to get sick from opiates and throw up. idk how it is mixing with those benzos, but just make sure you go easy on the opiates whenever you do decide to take them because throwing up when you have an open wound inside your mouth is not a fun thing

the ones I know they use are benzocaine, procaine, astrocaine and sometimes epinephrine mixed in. You can always ask the dentist what they're using and they usually tell you. I've used only codeine when I had fillings and they made the time go by quicker. I have a tolerance and don't suffer from the nausea so it was fine for me.

For a tooth extraction you won't need it if you have a good dentist and it's just a regular pull with forceps, it takes like 5-10 mins for the pulling and the rest of the time it's just waiting for the freezing to kick in. You're better off saving the oxy for after the appointment so you can nodd off and go to sleep easily.

I would use some xanax before the appointment to help with anxiety but sometimes more drugs can make you more anxious and just make things worse off. Save your drugs for when you can enjoy them.

Maybe if you ask nicely he'll gas you with nitrous. If he does, you really won't give a fuck what's happening, at least in my experience.

Just got back from having it pulled, they used neurocaine. Woke up at 4am, it's now just coming up to 7pm. This is my drug intake today: 50mg diazepam - 2mg diclazepam - 60mg dhc - 400mg ibuprofen

Mouth is numb as fuck right now, we'll see how sore/achey it is once the neurocaine has worn off. Have 6x30mg dihydrocodeine left... as I wasn't able to get oxy from my guy, he sold his script before i could even get my hands on it. But DHC seems ok so far.

DHC and ibuprofen is a pretty powerful painkilling combo and suitable for that kind of pain.

Be careful not to go over the top with the benzo/opiate combo as it can be dangerous, even for experienced users.

I've had some molars pulled out before, I was like 10 years old and only used Novocaine. I also got my wisdom teeth removed with nothing but Novocaine, fully awake, but that did hurt like a bastard after the novocaine wore off. The crunching sound of the tooth being pulls out of the roots was a bit odd, but whatever. Honestly this shouldn't be a pain issue, there will be none to very little (i.e. tolerable) during the procedure. If you are already that loaded up with benzos and can't handle it mentally idk what to say, maybe go the hospital route.
