Opioids Oxycodone dosage question

I'm curious what the dosage would be for someone who's taken vicodin and percs and usually around the 40mg mark to get a nice nod.

I've never taken Oxycodone, I'm pretty sure its similar to Hydrocodone but perhaps a little stronger. They are 5mg Oxycodone pills (little white pills). I have 8 of them and was hoping I wouldn't have to take all 8 to obtain a nice relaxed/euphoric state, but if they're similar to hydrocone (Vics) then I'll probably have too, but like I've said I've never taken em before so for all I know 20mgs might do me just fine. By the way, I dont have a tolerance at all..I take opiates like once every 6 months but when I do take them, it takes around 40mgs of Vics to get me where I wanna be

I dont want to take too much etc., and with bluelight being a fantastic site for preventing overdose etc. Thought I'd get some educated/uneducated opinions on the matter while I'm eating this yummy steak sandwich haha
 
How would you be taking it? I'd recommend starting off with 20mg of oxy if you're snorting or eating it, personally though even when I was opiate naive I needed 40mg to get a decent effect from it. Best to be safe and start low though, til you find what works for you.
 
If I am reading the first sentecce right, you have taken percocet? If so, oxycodone is the active ingredient in that, so you would just take the same dose of oxycodone as you would the percocet.
 
^^this. Percocet contains Oxycodone as the active ingredient. So-use that dose as a comparison. If snorting (or any other ROA than oral) start a little liwer as effects will be noticeable more quickly. Take more if/as needed.
 
I realized I only had 5, and with them being 5mg's, I decided to take them all which only equaled 25mgs.

I've took them 30 mins ago and am only experiencing a warm feeling. I checked out Erowid.org, and according to them the "Coming Up" feeling takes place about 30-60mins after taking them orally. I dont want to stay im dissapointed because I want to keep a positive mind frame lol, but I'm hoping they will kick in heavier soon..I'll know after the 40min mark if I still have something to look forward too, which is 10 mins from now haha.

ill let ya know how it goes, but with no tolerance as of now im dissapointed, but maybe this is why I don't have a tolerance because I'm never really impressed with opiates, only when I take 40-60mgs and for me opiates are the hardest to come across for myself lol.
 
Safe to say that I'm not impressed once again with opiates ha. If I had some 80mg oxys then I'd be good, but I have to take so many of the typical 5mgs,10mgs etc. to just feel anything...

I do feel warm and content but not nodding and euphoric.... Anyway, this thread can be deleted
 
For future reference... BDD is where basic dosing questions belong.

Oxycodone is the main ingredient in percocet, although percocet also has APAP.

You answered your own question; you will need to take all 8 pills unless you want a lower intensity experience.
