if you high like the sky i'm above pluto.
hi, ive been an opiate user for 3 years, but 6 months ago i slowed my usage down quite a bit. i maxed out at an OC80 a day over the summer, so my tolerance was never really high. now, to my question. i know opiates constipate you, but can they make it difficult/impossible to pee also? i never had this problem until 3 weeks ago when i used morphine 3 days in a row. after that i hadnt had any opiates until yesterday i took 45mg of oxycodone and once again i could not pee. so this has only happened to me twice, but it was pretty unpleasant. worse that constipation IMO. any thoughts are appreciated, thank you in advance!

thank you very much! i was worried since ive always been used to constipation but had never had this problem until just recently. once again thanks, if i can figure out how i will close this so i mod doesnt have to go through the trouble =)

edit: i cant seem to figure it out, so could i mod please close this since i have my answer? and if it is possible for me to close my own threads could you please also let me know so i can do so in the future? thanks!

This used to happen to me as well. Only when I first startrd ing heroin or when I would use after being clean for awhile. It's quite annoying. I've been takin 40mgs. of methadone regularly ( everyday ) for the last 4 years and haven't had this problem with meth...

It's a problem with most opiates, although it depends on the person (and the opiate!)

I'm with the OP on this, oxycodone is one of the worst when it comes to making it hard to piss (and hard to shit, come to think of it).

Make sure that when you're drinking liquids you're drinking liquids with electrolytes every once in a while as well.

thanks for the advice. so drinking gatorade and the like should help then? should i be drinking that before, during, or after? or all three?

and likeakite, i have to agree that tramadol has me going to the bathroom constantly lol

Gatorade and water, just make sure you're not drinking too much water without the needed salts. Eating food helps with this as well, Gatorade has a lot of sugar in it and I don't really think you should drink any more than a bottle or two unless you're working out or it's really hot outside and you're sweating a lot. Just make sure you're drinking water as well :)

I recommend drinking before, during, and after, but it doesn't have to be Gatorade.
