Hi. I posted before about taking oxycontin for the first time. I was going to reply to my original thread but i think it closed.

I threw up a few times after that first time(7.5mg). Is there anything else I can do to avoid vomiting/nausea besides taking benadryl(i really hate benadryl as it gives me anxiety for some reason). The vomiting left me with a very sore throat that i couldn't eat and I had a fever soon after. I would really like to avoid this. Any advice is welcome.

You can use another antihistamine such as doxylamine or promethazine to counteract the nausea or use a lower dosage of the oxycodone.

I'm going to edit the title of your thread so its easier to search for in the future.

If you puke, wait a day or two then take half the dose, if you still puke, wait and take 1/4 the dose. If you STILL puke your system probably doesn't agree with opiates. I know people (females especially) that get extremely nauseous from 5mgs of Hydrocodone.

Anyone will puke if they take too high of a dose, usually from Roxys, Oxys, Pod/Seed tea...stuff that packs a wallop.

OP, I'm going to leave this open for a bit longer but your question's been answered and it was answered in your other thread as well.

I'm leaving it open for a bit to see if anybody has any new information/experiences.

7.5mg of oxycontin

or less

also, should i take dramamine before i take the oxycontin or when i start feeling nauseated?

Opiates will ease emotional pain, but as an extremely temporary solution. Trust me, if you use them on a regular basis, they will end up actually causing extreme emotional pain, one no one would want. I would take the antihistamine before you dose your oxy. If you wait until you're feeling sick, you might not be able to swallow and keep another pill down.

And yes, the same meds that reduce nausea in Oxy should also reduce it in heroin.

I forgot to mention that the antihistamine can also potentiate the effects of the oxy, so I would suggest also lowering your dose to 5mg this time.

The dramamine works wonders!!! I took some 20 min before I took 1/4 of the 30mg oxycontin and feel awesome. No physical pain at all and emotional pain completely faded. I don't feel sick whatsoever and I'm relaxing in bed listening to music and feeling great. I should be feeling very sick by now but I don't. Not even a hint of nausea. Thank you so much everyone.

Why are you taking (want to take EVEN though a tiny dose makes you ill) this med?-It doesn't sound to me that you are a pain patient or are even prescribed this. (if you are-talk w/ doc and switch meds) I'd answer that you should just not take it... take an alternative to trsat whatever need you have that is creating the need/want to take oxy in the first place.

i found that when i first started experimenting with opiates i would get awful nausea and stomach cramps (i was only taking hydrocodone/apap and oxycodone/apap at decently low doses). i always thought it was just tolerance, but once i started with roxis/opanas i realized that it was the apap that was wrecking my stomach. take 1-2tums and try lying down on your back

I know it sounds crazy, but maybe she wants to get high. I think there might be a person or two on this site that uses drugs beyond medical need. Sorry about the sarcasm lol. Of course, just not taking drugs is a great idea though.
