oxycodone and naloxone

I guess they do make a formulation with oxycodone and naloxone in pill form, they say that the naloxone helps with the opioid induced constipation.

Try eating it, the naloxone shouldn't pass through the gut but the OC will.

Its about damn time they put some of this agonist in these opiates. Sick and tired of abuse of them. Anyways
I would think the naloxone @10mg would block any euphoria from the oc. Guess it depends on elimination of the nalxone and the absorbtion of the OC.
IMO i dont think you should crush it. 10mg nalaxone seems like way to much blockade.

They didn't put naloxone in there to prevent abuse, they put it in there to help with the constipation associated with oxycodone.
They DO make nalaxone nasal sprays, and 10mg of nalaxone is a very high dose(compare to suboxone which has only 0.5-2mg nalaxone, depending on formulation). Personally I wouldn't risk snorting it, since with a 10mg dose, only a small amount would need to pass through to block the oxy(and if your even slightly dependent, cause a host of other problems!!!) not to mention that the nasal BA of oxycodone is actually lower than the oral BA.
And in case you didn't know, nalaxone is inactive when swallowed. This is because it has such low absorption, that none of it makes it to the brain. Thus, as long as you SWALLOW the pills, all the nalaxone will do is help constipation. Pretty nifty, though I woud hate to be stuck with pills I couldn't bang!!!

Swallow em and you'll get high. Do anything else to them and you won't.
Pretty clever pills - they both help prevent a troublesome sideffect AND deter abuse with one ingredient. I predict we're going to start seeing these scripted A LOT MORE.

Very neat. And yes, it is for the constipation, I've read about this elsewhere on the internet when researching OIC (opioid induced constipation). To the person who thought that eating the pill would keep you from getting high from it...If it kept you from getting high, it would keep you from feeling even pain relief from the pill. Stop and think things through before you speak. I wish my Tramadols came with naloxone paired up with it lmao. I gotta take 240 of those fuckers a month along with 180 300mg gabapentins, and 90 flexerils lol. I'm lucky to drop a boulder once every 3 or 4 days lmao.

^^^ I SO wanted to say that, but had just cussed some other people out for something stupid, so I let it go. But thanks man! That was irritating the fuck out of me!(WTF is wrong with people???)
^ Don't you snort your Opana though? If so, you'd be kinda fucked, cuz Nalaxone will absorb through the nasal membranes, as far as I know.
