I was prescribed oxycontin, took 5mg a day the first 3 weeks and 2.5mg the last week. At such an extremely low dose, I was under the impression I couldn't really get addicted...but sure as shit, I've been experiencing some withdrawal symptoms the last 48 hours when I ceased using all together. The dizziness and nausea is pretty bad. Has anyone ever heard of someone going through withdrawal on such a low dose?

With prolonged daily use, even at such a low dose a dependency is certainly possible.

If 48 hours have passed since your last dose, you don't have much longer to tough it out before the worst of it is over. You will notice improvements in the next couple of days most likely.

yea man, just stick it out a day or 2 and you should be good...drink some ginger tea (ginger supplement works too, or if you live in a healthy area a fresh ginger shot) if your stomach is still being gnarly..you are experiencing some very minor drawls and wont experience any post acute withdrawl. Just dont introduce another opiate for a bit and you're good to go.

You're lucky you were on a low dose. You can tough it out and it will be gone quick. Hang in there man!

Try 90mg a day for several weeks/months straight like I did, and get back to me, LOL 8o
