hello everyone,

i just joined the site and wish to thank everyone in advance for your support and courage. i am 53 years old and was diagnosed with a ruptured disk in my lower back about ten years ago. 8 years ago i started taking 5mg of oc and have taken it daily since. today, i take 10-15mg per day. i usually take my first pill around 4pm and my last 1/2 or so right before bed. i have started feeling withdrawal symptoms the following day around 1pm and it's awful. i'd like to get off this medication and was hoping i could get some advice as to how best to go about this. your thoughts and suggestions are most appreciated. thank you

The way you take your pills is very strange no wonder you feel withdrawal you need a steady dose of oxy all day to feel good. Most people as soon as the open their eyes need a pill to get out of bed once you get bad enough you'll be taking it every hour to feel normal i had myself up to 500-600mgs a day in the past then had to turn to heroin. Don't let that happen to you don't end up a junkie from this drug like so many others have. Have you tried tapering off the oxy themselves? You should be able to at that extremly low dose and only taking it twice a day but a lot can't with oxy so they need to switch to a longer acting opiate such as buprenorphine to taper with. When I tapered buprenorphine for a week even with my 600mg a day habit I barly felt any withdrawal when I went with no opiates compared to just stopping which feels like slow death. Let me know if you have any questions you can message me whenever you like I've been in detox around 10 times the hardest part is staying clean and away from temptation.

Its Nice to have you on board

Good luck let me know if you need any help and try to have some fun.:)
