Hi all, my new pharmacy had theses 15 mg oxycodone by Rhodes mfg yesterday. I usually get the oxycodone made by mallinrodt or kv tech, and I'm seeing awful reviews of these RP 15 oxycodone by Rhodes. White, oblong with RP 15 imprint. I took one this morning about and hour ago with little effect. What are your thoughts on this product? Is it really crap? Would they actually be allowed to sell this if it was? Please chime in with your experience with Rhodes RP 15 mg oxycodone. Thank ya'all!

You can absolutely sell bullshit drugs that don’t work through the pharmacy model. Everything might check out pharma wise but for some reason some manufacturers processes are just better at positive effects than others. Even different mg formulations can be incredibley more satisfying. Like five milligram blue boys compared to 15 mg red head amphetamines. There’s no true difference. But these products exist on a molar scale as well. They exist as a mixture of racemic salts beyond that. These subtleties can produce wildly different effects. The blue boys are just so fucking clean. While the red heads are just really fucking good.

With opiates I’ve gotten speckled red hydros that were total trash and these pure white hydros that tasted so bitter and kind of crumbled that were just fire euphoria. Then other hydros with a strong binder and a smooth surface that would force a bow at 20mg. Just a great nod.

I’ve never had the courage to actually request a manufacturer. In the states so I feel like I’m on the verge of being incarcerated every time I go to the pharmacy. Try to yes sir yes mam thank you for the medicine. Have a good day and be give as fast as I can.

Fucking hate the healthcare system. Feel like a fucking criminal

Thank you. It is amazing how screwed up our pharmacy system is in the U.S. It's as every pharmacist/assistant-help thinks they are a doctor or FBI agent , LOOKING for ways NOT to fill your oxycodone! CHECK THIS OUT: I got a call back from a local CVS pharmacist here in S.FLA where I live the other day. I had gone to a different CVS closer to my house to get my oxy 15mg script from my pain

Thank you very much! Disregard my first message. It got cut off acccidently before I could finish. I agree on your yes sir, yes ma'am when picking up a script. I feel like I'm on trial, get in, get out! The pharmacy system is definitely screwed up in the U.S.!

We should collectively strive to not use cvs. I feel like the whole systemic American healthcare system is suffering a sort of Stanford Prison Experiment where the guards are represented by the FDA and DEA imprisoning doctors and causing a shock through the system where now the entire healthcare machine is behaving as if they are the guards now. Enforcing people’s suffering and seeming to become more and more willing to exercise their powers of denials if necessary medicine. Treating everyone as drug seeking even though the entire practice of medicine is built out of the practical application of opioids. Everything prior to opium was just mumbonjumbo. And we’re criminalized for seeking the most basic type of care. Accûunture. Physical therapy. Specialists. Smile and nod. Pray they don’t think you want drugs when you’re literally there so they’ll give you drugs. Like what the guck are they doing without prescribing drugs. Fucking thoughts and prayers?

It's a broken health care system. Big pharma rules through lobbyists efforts. Why is kratom illegal is some states? Because big pharma can't make a buck on it. They want us to take their oxycodone, etc because it costs penny's per pill to mfg, and it's a seller's market. Big profits. But, CVS is really f---ed up. The pharmacist wanted me to leave my oxy script with them on Thursday, while they contact my pain doc office to get my diagnosis codes? They also wanted to profile me, and then maybe next Wednesday, if I checked out, they might order oxycodone for me to pickup on Friday? WTF? Next f---ing Friday? Are you kidding....Diagnostic codes? This was required per the gestapo pharmacist because although I have had scripts filled at CVS, none were sched II...OMG..You'd think I was trying to buy a handgun in the 🇬🇧. The smirk on the mortally obese pharmacist confirmed his enjoyment in pulling the strings as the puppeteer. He relished in me leaving my script in hopes they might fill it in 8 day's. "Can you just make a copy of my script ". I'll need it to inquire at other pharmacys if my oxy is obtainable, and I can't if you have my script. "NO", he practically yelled in my ear. Obviously the thought of me going to a competitor was like I pulled off one of his fingernails in his psyche. How dare I. Especially since he was "doing me a favor", right? Who the f--k did I think I was, strutting into his house, asking for a sched II drug without being waterboarded for personal information ! Does the Hippa law really exist? I guess it does not when trying to fill a script.
I decided to pass to the pharmacist chagrin. Went to Publix where the 16 year old girl working the counter told be I'd be having oxycodone by 🍽 dinner. She was right. Unfortunately the pills were wrong, but, since I had these awful things once before, and my soul was worn down , I folded, and accepted the rp 15 by Rhodes pharma, knowing I would not be getting the pain relief I was accustomed to by mallkrindot. Another month of shitty medicine. They couldn't order me another brand. Why would they? This stuff is as cheap as it gets. That's what this country is about.

I don't know which country you live in, but in developed first world nations the manufacture and quality of Pharmaceuticals are tightly controlled and subject to strict government oversight. That isn't to say occasionally mistakes happen but this is rare.

I have long heard other drug users claim X brand of drug is underdosed or weak or something similar. The fact of the matter is the equipment used to manufacture tablets is tightly calibrated and not likely to make drastically underdosed tablets. If a company where regularly making tablets labelled as "15mg" but contained less, they would very quickly find themselves on the FDA's (or whatever drug regulatory agency your countries has) shit list.

What ive just said all makes perfect sense when you consider what's as stake. Some people require medicine to live and if a company was selling weak medicines this could be a serious public health issue. It's in the companies best interest to manufacture genuine correctly dosed medicine.

I'm not sure why you feel like these tablets are underdosed but I have a suspicion it's due to a bias of some sort. Our minds are powerful things. If I gave someone 10 Sandoz branded 5mg Diazepam and said "hey this Sandoz brand is weak! They're only really 2mg each" I would bet a substantial amount of money that they'd agree with me after taking them even though they are infact truly 5mg.

I reside in the sunshine state: FL, the endless ☀️ summer. I hold a bachelor of science degree in business from a major university, and was a VP at a large American based bank. So, yes, I do live in these United States. I agree with your perception of the American prescription drug industry. Why on earth would a company dare mfg a product it claims to be say 15 mg oxycodone, as in my illustration, and only put 3mg of oxycodone active ingredient? Most certainly as you alluded, government oversight and/or consumer watchdog groups would pick up from consumers, doctors who prescribe medications, etc , that a problem exists with oxycodone mfg by " company X", and the FDA, at minimum would initiate a probe, and send investigators to the physical plant that is mfg that product to immediately assess the product in question authenticity for purity, and it's adherence to the mfg guidelines that assure it is indeed making say 15mg unadulterated oxycodone pills. Afterwards, some of its pills would be studied by groups of scientists and random blind testing done, like you mentioned, giving say, one group of 10 patients 15mg of Rhodes oxy, and another group of ten people just a sugar pill, but telling them they are receiving a 15 mg oxycodone pill my Rhodes mfg.
Companies like Rhodes pharma mfg medication that people take for all sorts of diagnosis; some are taken by people whose daily lives depend on its performance , and any deviance in quality could put them at risk of an array of complications , even possible death. Compliance is a given in the United States, U.K. and as you mentioned in first world countries globally. You can't make a product and call it 15mg oxy, and put 3mg of oxy in it without getting caught. Not if you would be caught. Just when. It's inevitable. Personally, I have been in pain management since 2015 thereabouts, and have received oxycodone mfgd by many different companies. The mind as you said is a powerful "thing", no question about that. That's why they do these blind testing with 2 groups of people: one would get the "real" medicine as prescribed; the other group just a placebo, but told they indeed are getting the "real" medicine . In my approximately 10 years of being treated by different, highly educated, pain doctors, with my lower back being treated, I can most certainly, without a shadow of a doubt, tell you that 15mg oxycodone pills, by different mfgs, affect me/my pain level differently. Most of the time I have taken mallinkrodt 15 mg oxycodone pills. Other months I have received Kv tech ( K8 imprint) 15 mg pills. Both of which, within 15-20 minutes of taking one pill orally, turn off my lower back pain( which in intractable). Most recently,(Jan 2024) the pharmacy I have been using for the last several years to refill my monthly oxycodone, moved to a new location 60 miles north. Since their move, the DEA, suspended their ability to get most controlled meds, and ALL Schedule 2 meds, which includes oxycodone. So, I have been playing musical pharmacies since Jan 1st because of shortages of oxycodone, or pharmacy's restrictions on any new patients, or any number of reasons I've been told why they could not fill my monthly oxycodone prescription. I have been forced to look all over FL most months to find my meds, because some pharmacys told me they will fill my script, but only this one time because of restrictions. I have received these Rhodes pills only 3 times in my 10 years of being in pain management and twice this summer. I have compared the inactive ingredients between Rhodes and Mallinkrodt, and they differ. Accordingly I have been told by doctors, pharmacist, and others, that the active ingredient in all generic pills must be the same, but the inactive ingredients can vary. In my opinion, that's why the Rhodes 15 mg oxycodone pills do not work for me, nearly as well as others I have taken over 10 years. We touched on the mind, and how psychological things affect the way a pill may perform. The Rhodes pharma pills I'm sure meet all government, etc requirements, but, for me, and many many others, they don't give nearly the level of pain relief as others in the same category.

Got some RP10s and they definitely are weaker. Been taking double and still barely feel it. I thought I got some pressed bullshit. I call around and request manufacturers all the time. I could care less what pharmacy thinks of me. I tell them I’m allergic to the dye in some brands. Will never get Rhodes again.

That's my experience too. They cannot possibly contain 13 mg of active oxycodone in my 15mg pills. The mallinkrodt brand was fine, but Rhodes pharma is no good and someone needs to yank their chain. They mfg in Rhodes island, so they shouldn't be to hard to check out. I know, and you and countless others know, their pills are useless and need government oversight.
