Opioids Oxy=MS Contin questions.

I ran out of my OC supply because of this damn shortage here in FL and I couldn't get all of my normal meds. I ended up getting some 60mg MSCONTIN and have no clue how to make it the same as taking a 30mg oxy IR. The MS I have say e655 and 60 on the other. Is MS even act/feel the same as oxy?? Thanks. I'm starting to feel shitty so hopefully they help.
 
Well MS-Contin is morphine, not oxycodone. In my experiences morphine does not feel the same as oxycodone, but it will definitely keep your from feeling shitty/withdrawing. The downside is that morphine has a very low oral bioavailibility while oxy is quite high. Basically you get less out of an Ms-Contin pill than you would an Oxy.

Also, these pills are time released while your oxy ir were instant release. There are ways to break the time release if you look around this forum.
 
From what I read it said MS is like half the bio/a than oxy but I couldn't find anything about you to break the time release on here just people talking about IVing it. My normal dosage of oxy is 30-45mg ir at a time about 4 times a day. I dosed about 8hrs ago and don't feel to shitty yet but I'm not sure if I should crush a 60mg MS and parachute like I would half a OC80.
 
^if you can do 45mg oxy, 60mg morphine should do you okay. try it out. you may need more, but decide that the NEXt time you dose. dont overdo it the first time... morphine is very very different from oxy
 
How do you take the ER off of the MS?? I know on a OC you just crush and put it in some toilet paper and swallow but not sure with morphine. From what a friend just told is morphine feels nothing like oxy and it makes you not wanna do shit lol.
 
Yes definitely start at a low dose and work your way up. You never know how the body will react to a new substance. You can always take more, but you can never take less after the fact.
 
Yea morphine is nothing at all like oxy. It is much less euphoric and stimulating. I try to avoid spending money on morphine if at all possible. Hydro to me feels better. Not sure why but morphine just feels like shit. Like mentioned it will help keep you from WDs and it will help with pain, but its recreational value is rather dull. On the flip side, oxymorphone is a whole different ball park...
 
Orally oxy and morphine are 2:3 ratio so 45mg of oxy = approximately 68mg morphine, probably about 60 factoring for only partial cross tolerance.

Next time send the dosing questions to BDD and there are narcotic converters in the OD directory.
