Oxy Contin Express - Documentary

Wow that's insane. Good watch though. Glad Australia isn't like that; U.S laws are ridiculous 1500 pils a month that guy got!
 
Yup.

It's the usual sensationalist stuff. Interesting in its own way just because you get to see how absurdly corrupt the pharmaceutical system is over there, but not a rivetting cinematic affair.

I threw a chunk of oxy in my crackie once (for science!), it definately works, but the smoke is beyond foul and it's incredibly inefficient. You'd have to smoke 2 - 3 times as much as you'd eat to maintain a similar high for the same duration.

But the same could be said for snorting, to a lesser extent. Lower bioavailability, shorter duration. I think oxy is one of those drugs just best off taken orally.
 
^I really enjoy snorting oxy in combo with oral dosages. munching a 40 and snorting a 40 seems to be by far the best route for a fast come on, and long duration high.
 
I have always preferred dosing oxy orally to snorting because I find intranasally it is more stimulating and I do opiates to chill. Also I like knowing I am using my drugs efficiently, I find it annoying to know I wasted drugs by snorting oxy but that said I have still snorted my share of it.

There definately is something sweet about that stimulating opiate buzz but its not what I enjoy most from opiates. Would kill for some oxy right now haha. I definately with painkillers were more prevalent here!
 
Yeah I still do it, just because I have a bit of a snorting fixation. I'll usually eat a dose then top up with snorting till I'm where I want to be.
 
Crankinit that tends to be what I do and I have found myself in a similar situation where I am more snorting for the sake of snorting something than anything else. Last couple times I had oxy I just parachuted it and didn't bother snorting it.

Definately keen to watch this doco but have stacks of work due in the next fortnight, might have a look over the holidays.

Yeah I haven't used in a few months, although I have had a pretty good run with codeine/DHC/morph/heroin lately in regards to opiates so can't bitch too much can I.

I am not being as responsible as I should be, major sales pitch tommorrow morning but instead of working my butt off I am posting on BL, gonna get stoned in about half an hour and watch 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' because I fucking love that show.
 
What is the popularity of OC in oz ?

i had kind of thought it was minimal to zero with the only similar thing being endone,

maybe eastern states would be more than perth/wa ?(where pretty much my only knowledge of australia is)
 
OC is reasonably popular among people who are into opiates and stuff but it can be quite hard to come by. Doctors in Australia are definately nowhere near as forth coming with painkillers as they are in the US but atleast we have OTC codeine I suppose.

You get oxycontin in Australia, as well as endone (5mg IR) and oxynorm (10mg) but it isn't easy to get scripted. I don't know why there would be a huge difference in the popularity of OC between east and west, I suppose I can see how the larger heroin scene on the east would make opiates in general slightly more popular.
 
Oxys are around in syd but u usually have to know someone in the heroin scene, ur average pill speed dealer won't have any idea what it is. Only come across oxy once and i got 5 80mg tablets
 
i think oxy's are dam rare in Aus. I mean theres a fair amount of endone 5mg IR pils around but that would definitly make up the bulk of supply that the 'average' punter would have access to.
