Oxy Abuse Kills!!!!

ahhh.... ecstacii....
i hate to be cliche and say "if you have to ask, then i'm not even going to go into it..."
but. cliche is cliche for a damned good reason. But, i really wish that you could please tell me that you're just being coy, and that you really do understand what i'm getting at... because, damn... i suppose i'll humor myself (and perhaps a few others?) and break it down a little.
You, ecstacii, have perhaps seen some misinformative sites before... ones that look vaguely like the one you wanted to bash in this post - being your reason for starting it? When, in fact, the only thing REALLY wrong with that post are that it is one-sided (so shoot the grief-ridden parent for having an opinion??) and the cheesy photo that they put up of the kid. Why in the hell you you write something like...

in response to an article that gives out some pretty basic info on our endeared prescription narcotic, Oxycontin.
Basically, i'm challenging your notion of "bullshit"... (and also addressing the inane side-note of you chosing a name like "ecstacii" to which i believe i said simply, "how bone-chillingingly profound" solely because of your blatent strive at conformity) followed by your stab at a witty remark in response to the words of a fellow board member who speaks his mind more eloquently than damned near everyone else on here...?!? Why don't you try learning from him first, before you simplify another's statements with societally correct commentary.
So, now that i've had to translate my ascerbic banter... i'm going off to pontificate elsewhere... but one more thing first...

ecstacii. How much time have you wasted starting this useless thread? Did you even read the damn article? If anything she is trying to inform those who wish to continue using oxycontin to be safe, and understand the harms of mixing oxycontin with alcohol and other drugs. She is trying to let people know. She called it a miracle drug and understands it's benefits. Most people would be lobbying to have it banned outright, if they lost a child who happened to abuse oxycontin. She understands that the drug did not kill her son, the lack of knowledge did. If all of us that have responded to this thread would have taken the time to write a FAQ and posted it on a website, our view might have been on her website, but it's just easier to complain... I am by no means trying to say we can stop people from "overdoing" it when using drugs, but we can help educate...

1st off I dont give a fuck how stupid some supposedly is , when someone does from drug abuse or even just drug misuse, it is sad. Just take into consideration what that mom is going through, she watched him grow up through 12 years of school and then her son is taken away but 1 pill. They dont mention how many mg the pill was nor do they mention what the other substance was, but BECASUSE it was Oxy they make a big stink about it. I think that it is fucked up, it this kid ODed on lets say heroin or meth it would be just another OD case cuz they a re so common, but because it was a legal drug that is being brought into the spotlight, they make people , like some on this board that know they're threshold and know how to use the drug to have both a good time while staying safe look bad. I feel for this mom cuz i could not imagine losing someone i cared about to drug abuse or misuse. And as much as I hate to admit it, it tomm my sis ODed on Oxy I would fuckin go nuts and prolly write to that page and tell them my story. I have said it be4 and I will say it again, DRUG USE IS ONLY DANGEROUS WHEN YOU ARE NOT EDUCATED ABOUT THE DANGERS. If you know how to use a drug responsibly you have a 98% chance of not getting hurt. But still we have kids eating pills then drinkin on top of it or hopping behind the wheel and thats when it gives us (educated) ones the bad name.

I have seen many FAQ's on here, some useful information. The problem: finding them again. It would be nice if they had links and/or searching capabilities for the more informative and correct FAQ's. How about a separate forum containing these FAQ's? I very much enjoy this site and the info that is available here, wish more people had access to it. I am starting to get off topic. I apologize for that.

But what could we ever call it? It's a great idea, maybe someday we will have such a forum... perhaps someday an "FAQ Forum" will exist.. maybe..
