FORT MYERS: A woman was arrested after accepting delivery of an overnight package that contained methamphetamine, according to deputies.

Deputies say they were contacted by a confidential informant about a package at FedEx that showed signs of having drugs inside.

After a canine found traces of drugs in the package, deputies say they got a warrant to open the package, which was sent via overnight delivery from Las Vegas.

Officials say they found four grams of meth in two plastic bags inside of a plastic case that was being delivered to 50-year-old Lisa Strickler.

According to the report, deputies then re-sealed the package and had an undercover agent deliver the package to Strickler Thursday.

Once Strickler accepted the package, deputies say they confronted her - but she denied owning it.

After entering her home, deputies say they found two pipes lined with meth residue and ten glass meth pipes in a box.

"Deputies say they were contacted by a confidential informant about a package at FedEx that showed signs of having drugs inside."lol confidential informant means her pissed off meth addict buddy that knew the box was coming and with who she refused to share with

Wow they seized a whole 4 grams of crystal!!!! What a massive bust, I hope the pigs are proud of all the evil meth they took off the streets with this one8)

At Herbal Jah, i don't think it goes through customs unless its international. This was in country. I agree - its questionable as to what "signs of having drugs inside" Means....

If some asshole ( but maybe secret anonymous best friend) sent me a package full of drugs, and it was intercepted, and subsequently received it, but didn't know of it's contents, would I face the same fate as our dear woman mentioned above?

This is bullshit, and reeks of entrapment. It is quite obvious that the "confidential informant" sent the package and alerted the cops to fuck her life over. Revenge is a bitch, and this lady got fucked by it, or so it seems. I wonder if anyone in the Las Vegas Police Department had a grudge against her. I wouldn't be surprised.

It probably broke open in transit. I work at UPS and I'd say about 1 in every 400 packages breaks open and has to be re-packaged. I doubt Fed Ex is much different. After it broke open, someone probably told their supervisor, who called the police. Never ship drugs in a box through the mail unless you package them in a way that the box could get stuck in a conveyor belt and not reveal the contents. It's amazing how many boxes have to be re packaged.

Not to get into explaining how to do things, but ^ Don't tape the shit out of something either, and using a private company for domestic U.S. shipping isn't the smartest idea to start with.
