Opioids Overfilled bottle (too much) at Methadone Clinic??

I searched and found nothing on this topic. I am on 95mg methadone daily, and get 6 take homes (I go once a week). I have two bottles left sitting in front of me, and one of them is filled normally, and one has about 1.5x as much liquid in the bottle! I've been going there for 2 years so I know how much should be in each bottle approximately.

I've looked at the bottle, thickness, etc for deformities and can find none. Has this ever happened to any of you?? Trust me, I ain't complainin!!! hehe

I would guess that one bottle has 2 doses and the other has four. You could always call your clinic and ask?

nahhh. I get 6 bottles a week and each has one dose in it. I meant that I have two bottles left, I already have taken 4 of them.. I go to the clinic every tuesday.

Jks. You need to ask yourself a few questions: 1) How likely is it that someone will notice?; 2) What will happen if someone notices and you have either used the dose or simply not told them of the error?; 3) How destructive to your attempts to get your life under control will over-dosing be?

The commonest approach in these situations - and I think the most sensible - appears to be to use only as much as you were supposed to get, and save the additional stuff until you go back; then you can see if they realise their mistake, and if they do, you can produce the additional stuff. If they don't, you can play.

Honestly, I don't think there is a chance of them noticing the mistake because the computer spits out a dose when they hit enter on the computer, and they spit the dose out into individual bottles. And there is no chance taking a 1.5x dose will mess up my recovery because I've done it before, and I still have 14 months off heroin.

I was on MMT and got weekly take homes for over a year, and you do realize they add water to the bottles, right? I noticed the same situation you are mentioning one time and asked them jokingly if they gave me extra.. Sadly, no.. Just the stupid pink shit mixed with a little more water than usual.

Yes, I know that.. the methadone I get is a clear liquid. I get 6 take home bottles when I go every week on Tuesday. I lined up all the bottles, and 5 were the correct amount and one had almost double that the rest had.

Was just asking if this has ever happened to anyone.

Never had that happen exactly but about 14-15 years ago I was traveling and guest dosing at various clinics in the country. My home clinic gave me 3 weeks of take homes and set up my guest dosing at the other clinics. The last clinic I was at was only supposed to give me 2 bottles to take out and NOT dose me there that day. This was because of my traveling schedule and because that clinic was the only one for hundreds of miles. Anyway, they dosed me there and gave me the two bottles and since I hadn't taken my last dose yet that day, I ended up with a whole extra dose! I can't remember if I took it right away or hung onto it for awhile but knowing me I'm sure I took it right away! My clinic never found out and no one was ever the wiser. So yes dosing errors DO happen but rarely. It's only happened to me once in 18 years on mmt. If you do take the extra dose and they ask about it, deny,deny,deny!
