Overcoming the fear of suicide using psychedelics

this looks like it isn't going anywhere positive. If anyone has anything worthwhile to add let me know and i'll open it back up, but for know, closed.

Added by Solipsis: sorry for misreading there. I agree that it should have stayed closed, sorry for reopening it and interpreting it the wrong way. Yes perhaps in TDS then, give it a try.
This topic is delicate, there is suicide and then there is euthanasia. The latter is a sweeter sort of death in the face of 'disproportionate' or terminal suffering. I have spoken with someone around my age who suffered from so many things both mentally and physically, besides being strongly autistic also delusional and in huge amounts of pain. He said to me: don't expect me to be alive in 3 months barring a miracle. I didn't hear from him again.
Anyway he was way beyond redirecting him to the suicide hotline so he wanted to euthanize himself with a bunch of drugs. I had to talk him out of a whole list of scenarios because they would have been more cruel to him than he apparently thought.
And then there are the famous people (and who knows how many non-famous people exactly) who at the end of their lives want to be administered a psychedelic.

While I think the premise of THIS thread is against what BL stands for I still have to say it seems worthwhile to me to discuss these other things. If someone were to make a thread about what psychedelic is best with your own euthanasia will that thread be closed? I'm not talking at all about killing yourself by taking a psychedelic (which is hard if not impossible with a good number), I am talking about being administered a psychedelic when you die, however that came to be. Hopefully I am not going against the feeling of decency of a lot of people.
But I won't hold my peace about this, for the record I think that suicide is a personal right but at the same time it should be discouraged at 99% of the times. The exception is with horrible suffering, but then it's pretty much euthanasia again! It should be discouraged because a lot of the times there are alternative options to at least try and dig your way out of a rough spot. And that's where I end - that may be TDS territory right there.

Anyway sorry just wanted to remind you of Aldous Huxley being administered LSD when he died, by his wife. As one example in the opinion I shared above. So IMO there can be a link between dying and psychedelics even if the alkaloids are not released naturally (like the DMT theories propose).
