Not sure where this question belongs so I'm throwing it here.
I am risky in my rx cocktail because I love the nods & sleep I get (I have horrible insomnia if untreated). But I do worry occasionally, how would I know if I'm overdosing? I'm always alone when I do this (bed time). Are there signs I can personally look for? I'm definitely not trying to OD and that's why I want to know.
Thanks everyone!
(sorry admins if this is in the wrong spot)

Well what kind of opiates/benzo's, drugs are you taking. I know for sure if you are taking opiates the signs to look for are being very very very tired and sometimes nausea and vomiting will be present as well. The main thing with opiates if you are going to overdose is respiratory depression it's were you stop breathing. Most likely if you were to overdose you would fall asleep and then stop breathing, that's why its scary to be alone if you think you might of possibly overdosed. The thing is if you have taken the amount before and didn't overdose more than likely you are not. I can't offer any more info without knowing what you took, your weight, height, etc. then a more detailed answer would be easier to give.

I take alprazalam (Xanax), carisoprodol(Soma), hydrocodon-acetaminophen (Norco), Tramadol, and those types. I don't take tramadol if I take Norco because of the seizure risk. I also take Lexapro 20mg daily.

I do not have any experience with mixing benzo's and opiates. Sorry. I only know opiates because I take a lot. I worry a lot so I don't mix other drugs with it usually. I do however mix tram and oxy sometimes, like today. I've taken 85mg of Percocet and 150mg of tram. I even worry about that, though im probably safe. Well, sorry I couldn't be more of help to your question, I hope you get some answers.

Generally, when I am close to over-dosing when I nod, every time I snap out of the nod for a moment, I 'wake up!' gasping for breath.. Normally this happens when I'm nodding really intensely, where no matter how hard I concentrate on staying alert/awake - I inevitably find myself 'waking up' a moment later (gasping).

Holy hell! What a combo! Benzos, Somas, pain meds & anti depressant.

I've known many people with high tolerance almost die off somas. Hell, a good friend stayed in ICU 13 days recently from mixing xanax and soma, even at a theraputic level.

No offense, but what Dr. would rx this type of combo? Scary.

Yeah if you takw them right before bed, the only really sign is not waking up.

If you are barely breathing too thats a bad sign.

Im sure if you stick to the doses your used to and dont keep raising them youll be fine.

You can take norco and tramadol together, they dont increase seizure risk together only tramadol dose. But benzos and soma both make you less likely to have a seizure.

I only get Klonopin, Clonidine, Ativan and Haldol but they all come to good use with the Adderall sometimes and sometimes I combine them all and pound down a beer... when I take too many that is (like 250-300 mg/day). If/when I take them the way I am supposed to it is different and don't really have issues except for eating much.
